Thursday, January 15, 2009

The Georgia Court of Appeals on Thursday reversed the conviction of Arthur Tesler, the former Atlanta police officer sentenced to prison for lying to FBI agents about the botched drug-raid killing of 92-year-old Kathryn Johnston.

The court said Fulton County prosecutors failed to prove an essential element of the crime — where it was committed.

• Atlanta and Fulton County news “The state was obligated to prove that the FBI office was located in Fulton County,” Chief Judge Yvette Miller wrote. “Its admitted failure requires us to reverse Tesler’s conviction.”

Tesler’s lawyer, William McKenney, called the ruling “terrific news” and said he hopes it will help Tesler’s sentencing next month in federal court.

District Attorney Paul Howard could not be reached Thursday for immediate comment.

After his May conviction in Fulton County, Tesler was sentenced to four years and six months in prison. He did not fire any shots the night of the November 2006 killing,

In October, Tesler pleaded guilty to federal civil rights charges for his role in the botched raid that shocked the nation and led to revelations that Atlanta cops were faking warrants to make drug cases. Tesler is to be sentenced in federal court Feb. 20.

McKenney called the ruling a “mixed blessing” because the court also found the evidence supported the jury’s finding that Tesler lied to federal agents. “The end result is that it leaves the question of a retrial still open,” he said.

Point is it was not an Airplane issue, It was an issue with Birds..Which also means that birds are all over the World and at most Airports because of the remote locations, so at the end of the day, this could have happened anywhere and anytime..Its not a New York thing.....

Also for a Pilot who did such a great job, you would thing that people would be happy to know that they got your back in case of an emergency..The response time was amazing..The plane crashed about 4:05 and everyone was out bye 4:45 AMAZING AMAZING..Fuck Kanye I will Fly US Scareways...I mean U.S AIRWAYS...

On the outside looking in, you start seeing the reasons why they appear to be haunted by bad luck. Some of it is environmental or outside of their control, but a lot of it is self induced. For example, I got a family member who stay on some hoodrat shit. She a single mother. Long story short, she always "appear" to be broke or in need of assistance because baby daddy allegedly ain't chippin' in...etc, etc...you know the story. However, heffa always got money for a sac, clothes, shoes, liquor and partying.....yet she always asking to hold a few dollars to take care of a bill, put gas in the car, or do something else responsible. well actually no I wasnt that cat at all. I have a BA in communications, and hold a 4.0 in my graduate degree program.

Im a part time teacher. I started and/or ran at least 3 chess organizations. Volunteer in the community I grew up in (North Philly)

featured in several articles, news stories, and 2 books

but Im not one to brag. none of that is here nor there. but you really shouldnt sterotype all us niggers. Some of us got it together.
