I will never be surprised by ignorant comments people post online and those about Oscar Grant fit right it. There is no prior crime that would condone a man being shot in the back while handcuffed and kissing the concrete. RIP to him and my thoughts are with Robbie Tolan and his family. Definitely not checking for the Carter 4, good luck with that one Wayne.

Luda would outshine both of those artists in a supergroup. He really is in my opinion an underrated lyrical monster with flow for days.

Memorial Service for Dontaze Storey and Other Victims of Police Murder Set For January 10th

Los Angeles – Family and friends of Dontaze Storey, a 29-year old unarmed Black man who was killed by LAPD officers Oliver Malabuya and Daniel Bunch on Veterans’ Day, will have a memorial service on Saturday, January 10th, at KRST Unity Center (7825 S. Western Ave., Los Angeles). The service will start at 12 pm.

Organizers of the memorial, which include Storey’s family, Coalition for Justice Against Police Murder and Mothers In Action, are also inviting other families of police murder victims to attend and provide testimony. Elected officials and community leaders are being invited also.

“While we are grieving about Dontaze, we know he was not the first unarmed victim of police murder” stated Atun Re Baker, Dontaze’s uncle. “Hopefully, we can work to make sure this doesn’t happen ever again.”

The officers that killed Dontaze Storey were from the Rampart Division, which has been involved in several incidents of murder and malpractice over the years. Some of the examples include:

1. 1996 – Rampart Officer Perez shot 19 year old Javier Ovando in chest and head while he was handcuffed. Mr. Ovando became paralyzed

2. 1997 – Testimony revealed that Rampart officers were involved in the shooting death of Christopher “Notorious BIG” Wallace

3. 1998 – Rampart CRASH officer Brian Hewitt beat a handcuffed Ishmael Jimenez – making the victim vomit blood. Hewitt was later fired

4. 2007 – Rampart officers shot and kill 24 year old Matthew Powell while he was face down in a fetal position

but i intentionally didnt return yesterday cause i didnt want to just vent & put hella frustrations out there on the board. but 2day, ima just break it all down to yall. fa get it.

part of it was also cause i didnt want to appear as tho i was speakin on BPs topic yesterday: white folks' perception of ppl of color. or attempting to answer that in any type of way either, since hes so selective in who he acknowledges w/ a response. and im not interested in any of that.

but a major part of what was gettin at me really had to do with exactly that, actually, White folks.

truth is, ive been mainly skimmin thru comments lately. havent read a full comment of any1 elses in a min if butrflygrl or BFG wasnt attached to it, not to be funny or nuthin.

its simply cause as much as this is the internet im tryna deal in reality, keep it solid w/ solid folks. all the rest, i dont care about no more. only wanna come to AHH w/ purpose & intent.

so i aint been reading comments too much, that is, until i just read what Dope had to say about the protesting and rioting out here, in general, and specifically @ fizzroy.

i read what fizz said yesterday bout the Town, too, actually. thats right. early yesterday. thats another 1 i read recently.

but really to me it aint mean shit. im not even trippin off fizz. cause like i said im dealin in reality.

dont get me wrong, that was some disrespectful and foul ass shit. and i see Dope got all up in yo ass, fizz. glad i aint have to be the 1. but my emotions wasnt that strong about it.

none of these internet ass commentaries or opinions mean a flyin fuck about the reality of this situation. so i dont care who said what negative on here.

to me that was just fizz doin what he do. playin the opposite of any & everything. & lets not forget, what he do best, hatin the Town. dont trip, the Town hate u too. who really gives a fuck, ya feel me? i know i dont.

but i did find myself gettin helllllllllllllllllllllla fuckin frustrated when i got off work and i was listening to the radio and just heard hella wack ass bullshit about the situation.

all this condescending, judgmental commentary, and what i deem apathetic and reaffirming of the fucked up status quo. wack ass control tactics and shit, because KMEL knows the influence it has on the community. thats proof right there, they tryna use their influence to deescalate the situation, prevent more rioting. okay.

so why not do the same w/ the type of music u promoting and the messages that are being filtered thru yall into the community??????? bullshit.

so i really aint come back after that cause i was hot about the shit from Wednesday night and all of yesterday.

MEME.....I wish it were something that minor. When I called on 12-31 to have my services from the old crib transferred to the new crib, I was told that it would be a 7-10 day wait because there wasn't a meter at the new spot. BIG inconvienence but I worked things out with the old landlord to still stay there. I was told to call & check on the meter today, which I did & this time was told that they went out there 1/2 but it is more work needed that is going to place me on ANOTHER 7-10 day wait!

After speaking to about 4 reps (all of which had the bad luck of trying to talk over me) I just got word that it will be done on Monday.

I normally don't spaz out on the utility people but I was pushed to the limit this time.....talkin over me! SMDH.....where they do that at?!?!?
I'm good now though bout to go to lunch inna lil bit....

The ones that made it not in jail or dead or smoked out he is the one Who is married to the mother of his kids and holding his family unit down.
It's not a fluke his dad was the hood dad he was a real dude when he was little he was superman to us. And he had that in the house he learned how to be a man. take care of his family and his woman the rest of us learned from the OG's in the hood and by trial and error.
The black story a complex one. Our neighborhoods and mostly being raised by women does effect us as men in society. And the women also like you said. Black women are so used to wearing both hats they struggle giving in. That why inter-racial dating is so popular. This might sound crazy but alot of other race women are better equipped to deal with the bruised black male ego because our roles are all twisted. Black love is beautiful but it's hard because or our past dating way back to slavery and the more we keep this broken cycle going the harder its going to be.

Lioness, of course, i see u. like i also said i respond to every comment direct at me. but i learnt to control F a long time ago.

im actually bout to get in2 the rally right now. u know i also thought twice about whether or not i should comment on it, because it coincides w/ my lil frustrations, and i know we been on this for a min now. im not tryna draw it out or nuthin. but yeah, i'll mos def tell u what i know.

i felt good at taking the youngstas up to the rally on Wed, just for the exposure and to show support, if nothing else. even tho we got there after many ppl had continued on marching towards downtown.

the energy was very peace, it was still many conscious ppl, children, hood folks, youngstas, some hippy lookin White folks both young and old up there.

every1 was basically chillin at that point, politikin and buildin. still had signs, some tight artistic signs, also ones that read "Fuck Po Po" and the like. we was up there like 9 deep cause i took the Leaders and 2 of my coworkers came too.

this old hippy White man came up and told me that ppl had started marching and he heard some had started rioting, to' up a police car.

but so im actually glad we missed the start of the march cause emotion cud have potentially gotten the best of us and inspired us to march as well. which we aint need to do actually.

things turnt kinda ugly on the streets at that point. as we all know. but just imo it wasn’t that that serious. really actually it cudda been much worse, like when shit cracked wide open w/ Rodney King. i remember how that went. it was ugly. but then it is still ongoing hostility right now, so, its not over.

i think like with all riot situations tho, its a matter of oppressed ppl not having an outlet for their frustrations and so eventually its going to boil over and erupt at different points, when they never do. and then of course the oppressed are vilified and still the focus is taken away from the root of the issue.

and i got real irritated yesterday, like i said, coming home from work listening to KMEL. to be honest i was hot, feelin like i dont wanna hear none of that shit about ppl rioting are wrong.

i really dont, even tho at the same time im not necessarily advocating for it either. the shit is inevitable. and im not interested in any1 sittin on their high horse lookin down in judgment at situation. especially those in a position to have influence over the community. or those who are there supposed to be advocating for the community.

so i was also trippin off another situation like that, which ima get to in another post.

to keep it solid, imo, there was a lot of symbolism in that particular riot the other night. ppl keep sayin " why u tearing up ur own community."

1st of all, aint none of this shit ours to begin with. but 2nd, where these riots took place in Downtown were actually right in the mix of where BART & OPD be at.

Downtown Oakland is where a lot of ppl prefer to avoid cause the police too deep so to riot down there, altho it was not even a full blown riot was quite bold.

and of course as with all riot situations, there are always some ppl who just wanna tear sum shit up, loot some shit. but my personal belief is that the community is outraged. and the young ppl esp, who already dont give a fuck overall. so u know, im not sure what ppl expect.

part of me feels like, tear all this shit down, so they gotta listen, they gotta pay attention. every revolution, if u will, requires action, force, & sacrifice.

but the other side of me knows that with that, there is a requirement of bloodshed and suffering. and i feel like esp for our city to be as small as it is, we have lost enuff lives in our history to last forever already fighting these battles. cause its truly soldiers out here.

but i dont even know if we can tolerate any more, shit, its like the entire community is traumatized and suffering from PTSD & depression, just like war vets.

man, i used to be on this topic all the time, but i actually fell hella back on it cause i really truly learnt from being on AHH that its a lot of ppl that really hate the Bay. i always heard that but i aint trip.

and i also felt like ppl had the perception that i was puttin 2 much on it or over exaggerating. so it wasnt even that serious to me to discuss w/ ppl outside the community. but its reality. i do know that.

okay, but what really got to me on the night of the rally, was after we made it back to the job...

i shudda anticipated it cause as soon as i step back up in the office, our previous ED/still my MFT supervisor (an older White lady) still there waiting on us.

and she lookin at me w/ disapproving eyes.

because im the one whose idea it was to go.

she starts tryna drill me w/ questions about what was the purpose of the rally, etc.

& starts tryna argue her lil points from this White ass perspective. and im not tryna turn shit racial or nuthin. but everything is, in a racist society, such as ours.

so i gotta spend about an hour, debating and arguing with her in front of the youngstas cause its no way in hell ima sit there and let this broad impose her racist, White ass worldview and values on me, fa damn sho not. no matter how she wants ta package that shit.

but esp esp esp not on the kids. hell nah. i wont allow it. thats where my frustration is comin from cause i feel like, the youth's voice has been suppressed. and its just like ppl think its okay. but im not gon allow it, in whatever way i can.

the kids aren't gon argue against her as an authority figure they actually respect. SMH even tho i know they disagree.

but bottom line, when the line gets drawn in the sand, she on 1 side, they on the other.

she making statements like, "but no, i think this was just an isolated incident and not a system problem."

hadta get her on that.

then in response to the fact that the rally was a call for BART police to be disarmed. she like, "well idk who would want to ride BART if the officers arent armed, when over half the ppl on there have guns."

ridiculousness. my face smirked up right now just typing that stupid shit. man.

and comin in from the other room, 1 of the young dudes fuckin up my argument (gotta remember to beat his ass LOL) talkin bout,

"shit niggas do be havin pistols on BART, i seen em."

im like, "shut yo ass up" wit my eyes. LMAO 3x

it might be sum truth to that, but i really do not believe that there is so much real serious ass crime on BART that theres a requirement for the officers to be armed. i just dont. unless they are just doing that greatest job ever of keepin hella shit under wraps. but i dont believe that. not at all.

really the other thing that is contributing to my irritation is the fact that i can see how much this exemplifies a major problem in the system, that really, truly goes unacknowledged far too often. and this prolly adversely affects and sabotages the progress of the youth more than anything else.

she is not at all concerned with the best interest of the community she was/is serving. she's blind. i have accumulated multiple examples of this.

if i told yall all the shit in detail, i have absolutely no doubt in my mind that yall’d be like, ugggggh. but its all classic, tricknowledgy type shit, hard to see if u aint watchin real close.

i know we get on here all the time and discuss racial politics and stuff. and i do rather enjoy it. and this just sum'n i have to say cause im frustrated still.

on the one hand, minus the emotional investment on my part, i understand that she is just a typical privileged (aka present day covert racist) White woman with no true awareness of it or understanding for what its is to experience life from this angle.

but i also cant help but to be harsh and feel hard about it. like to me, absa, thats a wicked devil bitch. i know that sounds bad, i try not to call bitch too much. but oh well. its true.

okay so apparently im very emotionally invested in this situation cause my stomach been hurtin. that cud be based on the fact that i do have some personal issues with her, i can see how racial & social issues have really strained our interaction dynamic.

but honestly, even having to actually have that conversation with her left me with an ugly, nasty ass feeling in my stomach that nite and yesterday, cause im sittin here wondering how im
in the situation to be having to argue this type of shit to a woman who is:

1) a licensed MFT

2) an MFT who supposedly supervises the therapy i do, but cant teach me a damn thing.

3) White & imo racist w/o any awareness as such. right in the mix w/ ppl of color, & who actually believes she knows whats best for these families & youth.

she is in a position to influence the minds of ppl with that bullshit.

it just makes me sick. sick 2 death.

this is exactly whats wrong with the system. the corruption & wickedness of those in power, the demonization of those oppressed, & 2 many of those supposed 2 be advocating are serving their own needs & interests w/ their own agenda.

ive been having a hard time swallowing this ever since the discovery of her particular wickedness. it initially compelled me to wanna just b out. but then, i cant have any impact aside from hers if i do.

in some ways i feel like ive compromised my personal integrity in order to continue to work in this setting because i do believe that its my obligation to support these youth.

if i walk away, then who got them? from my view i really dont trust no1 to really have them like i do. aint came across no1 who does yet...

okay so i challenged myself to stay at the job, be the bigger person, to genuinely let shit ride for the betterment of the youth, families, & our staff/team, while still of course always speakin truth & keepin it solid.

and its not like she can do shit to me, in regards to the job. its just a matter of principle to me. i think ive been neutral, diplomatic, easygoing, and genuine enuff, while still being committed, outspoken: honestly & directly, and
passionate/enthusiastic. because i love my work. seriously.

its not about money or status or none of that 4 me. obviously. LMAO i just believe in it, so in a way, i feel like ive made necessary sacrifices to be there still. but damn.

all of that was lightweight extra but really what im tryna say is that its just a prime example of dysfunction and i just find it ironic that this is a multi-layered situation going on, the macro and the micro so i thought id share. this is real life.

and i am so just irked 2 death. downtrodden, disappointed, apathetic, sad, angry, wanna talk shit, feel like quittin, all of that.

We were promised a better life in our home countries, where we were told that privatizing water and electricity will make things run more efficiently.
Instead the quality remained almost the same and the price was increased until it became an unaffordable luxury.
Some corporations are more efficient than government, but their motivation is not the health or the well being of the people; it's only about profit, everything else: their image, their human resources, their public relations, only exist to protect the reality behind it.
Once upon a time, we were told that nationalization would prevent growth by limiting competition; that our countries were nothing without the companies that invested in us and so they privatized everything. Everything in our country was owned by people that had no connection to our culture, by those who never had our interests at heart, they didn't care about our survival or well being, they just wanted to turn a profit by raping our land, by exploiting our people, our industry and our resources.
They took everything we built and made it theirs. First by creating racism to justify slavery, building the capital for capitalism, and then when they gave us what they call liberty, everything we had was still owned by them. Our governments told us that socialism was the real enemy and that we would have freedom, but the foreign powers and corporations were the ones with real freedom; the freedom to take all the wealth generated by our work and our land and gave us only a small percentage of the scraps from the table.
Their lust for power and their greed drove them to betray not only us but themselves and the word of their own God.

And while some used missionaries and donations to off set this abuse, other countries and companies were blatant with their crimes, using war, disease, and sanctions that killed millions. They supported corrupt governments that were almost like the old slave masters in their oppression of the people, because their loyalty was to those who enable them, restored them and kept them in power, they became the bastard children of American industry, kleptocracy, governments of thievery. They protected the corporations and went to war against their own people to preserve those profits.
The puppet rulers were given billions of US tax dollars to fund civil wars, right wing death squads, execute political dissidents, sympathetic clergy and, even overthrow democratically elected governments. And so the age of revolution began again; they painted it as godless terrorist versus the free world and the market.
But the free market has never been free, because the market does not regulate itself. It is manipulated like a puppet and it survives because of its image. Destroy the image and the enemy will die.
Such is the same in the rap industry. But the major label super powers treat the underground like the 3rd world. When they need new assets, new honest to prostitute a side-ins and put on a shelf to use their songs
When they needed new concepts, music and publishing to steal from the producers, they came to the underground, to the 3rd world, they took our culture, our property and our industry and our resources, even using our own people to help them exploit us.
But behind the mask of efficiency, they claimed that we need them to succeed. They're no better than us; they're economic advertising was always a lie, a few got rich but most were given an illusion of wealth, almost as if it was designed for failure.
Opportunity comes at the price of soul and the music, so remember what they are underneath the fancy architecture, glittering rented jewelry, the cars, the IMF loans, the seeds with suicide genes, 20 year contracts and oil bloody money.
Build your defenses my independent brothers and sisters. They’ll stop at nothing to get what they want. They paint the 3rd world (underground) as savage and backward. But the super powers are no less corrupt; they've just learned to disguise it better, ‘cause they fix elections too, they embezzle tax money, they go to war for resources, they fund terrorism for their own benefit, and when there's enough at stake... history's taught us that they'll even assassinate their own president.
