On the 50 vs. Wayne note, all I'll say is this:
50 hasn't done shit in my eyes since Beg For Mercy. After each G-Unit artists first album and B4M, the only 2nd album that was any good was Buck the World. Granted, the real 2nd Banks album was fiya, unlike what most of the world knows as Banks sophomore solo album, Rotten Apple, but still.
Wayne hasn't been the same since Carter 2, either. It's all been downhill from there.
That being said, though, "Get Up" aint 1/2 bad, and IF it's one of the "worse songs off Before I Self Destruct" as 50 claims, that could very well be an album I find worth coppin.

Not this time, now that clown 5-0 have the nerve to compare that crappy get up to tupac's califorina love, that is a straight insult to the late tupac shakur, I Truly hope this is the final end to that nightmare, I Rather listen to Lil wayne over this.

and BISD will not be on my list, 5-0 is always garbage yet people can't see it, it's a shame.

I'm going with Lil Wayne, only because I think he's hotter right now.

Now, if we were going off a career, it's kinda hard to say, because I feel Wayne has more of a career ahead of him (barring something terrible happening to him). But 50 has sold more albums, and I can't knock the fact GRODT is better than any album Wayne has put out...

But TODAY?

I'd have to say Lil Wayne. Can't knock 50's work ethic and catalog. I think Wayne and 50 are cookin' this up so that they can make 2009 theirs ala 50 vs. Kanye earlier this year.

I hear you. Just so you know it's not all people up north, east or whereever. Someone said it the other day, we have to go at our radio stations to have other artists be played from all over. Back in the day i think it was each region just rocking for their own. When award shows and tv started talking East/west, south/north is when all the craziness happened. Unfortunately when that happened, each region should have stepped up then and plugged their own area. Instead we let the record labels put out what they thought was hot. And we all know that's not necessarily true.

If i could have my way i'd hit up every area and get all the underground cats and do a radio station of nothing but them. Put the industry out of business with that. Sad thing though, no one can get along so it's just what i said "a dream of mine"

Shopping and "saving" during black friday is a MYTH folks. I work in retail, and I can tell you first hand....you really aren't SAVING anything.

These companies tell you "come out and save", but keep in mind you're still spending...check out the fallacy in how Walmart has folks thinking...

Let's use an arbitrary number, like, say $800 spent in a month at Walmart. Now, the thought is you are "saving" about 20% on average (it's actually less than that, but I'll be nice). So, that means you are saving roughly $160 for every $800 spent there right? But here's the catch...you are spending $640, which comes out to $7,680 yearly, meanwhile, "saving" $1,920 yeary. But how long is it going to take to pay off that $7,680? Most people spend on their credit anyhow. So you really don't save ish....

I dunno...I used to get all worked up for those Black Friday sales, then I grew and realized when you spend, you don't save sh*t! They trick you into thinking you do. HEre's what I do...

I buy all my ish from myself. That's right, imagine that....spending money in your own business so you can get some of that money back and then some. And I have customers, and I have people on my business team, who do the same, and we reap the rewards.

All I'm saying is folks, start thinking like these wealthy folks do. I guarantee you, you won't find Bill Gates with an IPOD in his crib. And you won't find Steve Jobs with an PC in his. NEW YORK - A worker was killed in the crush Friday after a throng of shoppers eager for post-Thanksgiving bargains burst through the doors at a suburban Wal-Mart, authorities said.

Nassau County police said the 34-year-old man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m. ET, an hour after the store in Valley Stream on Long Island opened.

A police statement said a throng of shoppers "physically broke down the doors, knocking him to the ground." The exact cause of death "will be determined by the medical examiner's office," the police stated.

A co-worker said the clerk was "bum-rushed by 200 people," according to the New York Daily News. "They took the doors off the hinges," said Jimmy Overby. "He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too ... I literally had to fight people off my back."

Police added that "a 28-year-old pregnant female was also transported to an area hospital for observation."

Shopper Jessica Keyes told the Daily News that she saw the woman being knocked down near where the worker lay dying.

According to Keys, when paramedics arrived they told the woman that "there's nothing we can do. The baby is gone."

But a police spokesman later said both the woman and her unborn child were doing fine.

Other shoppers said people kept entering the story as emergency crews attended the woman and store clerk.

"They were working on him, but you could see he was dead," the Daily News quoted shopper Halcyon Alexander as saying. "People were still coming through."

"They're savages," shopper Kimberly Cribbs said of the crowd. "It's sad. It's terrible."

Police added that three other shoppers " suffered minor injuries and were transported to area hospitals."

Ellen Davis, a spokeswoman at National Retail Federation, said the group knew of no other incident where a retail employee has died working on the day after Thanksgiving.

Wal-Mart is working closely with police, company spokesman Dan Fogleman said. “The safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority,” Fogleman said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families at this difficult time.”

Again, I really don't think artists ether other artists...

50 Ethering Ja was more like Ja just being called out and not being able to respond. Real talk, artists only end their OWN careers, if you ask me. If you don't have the heat to bounce back, it's not another artist's fault...it's yours...or your lack of talent. Ja was lookin' like he was a beast, but in reality, niccahs was able to pull his ho card...period. Same goes for anybody on Murder Inc. unfortunately. 50 was reading them Art of War books and what not, and he did what Pac was trying to do before he got snuffed out. Don't hate the playa, hate the game.

Game didn't ether G-Unit. G-Unit is bringing G-Unit down. Tony is NOT lyrical. Banks is, but he's kinda like Cassidy or even Jada, where you're still waiting on a dope RECORD from him. Some people have tight verses...others make dope hooks. Every now and then (Snoop, Pac, Big, Jay, etc....) you get a DOPE album. Hell, even Kanye's albums, until recently, hadn't decent word play, dope production, and great hooks.

G-Unit hasn't had as much of an impact because they haven't made something as dope as their first album....period. It's not anyone in the industry stopping them...it's them stopping them.

@lionnesse - I just peeped your SECOND url about Wayne swagga jackin....that one is invalid. If you check the beat, it was actually the Paid In Full beat, so Wayne PURPOSELY used that verse (w/the Rakim's permission), as more of a dedication to Ra's greatness than a slight or slap in the face. I mean, that one is OBVIOUS. They took the beat and flipped it, and if anything, Wayne made it easier for people to remember where it came from. That's called paying HOMAGE...

As far as Wayne "jackin" Jay, Pac, or whomever....those are his idols. Shouldn't be a surprise. And some of those "jacks" were flipped from being lyrics to using them as hooks. I don't know how many people do that. Look at Jay's "Dead Presidents"....

I've always said Wayne is no Big or Pac or what not. Those cats ain't jack ish....but....

Correction, Game's last cd was still under the aftermath/g unit umbrella so in essence he's still making 50 rich......

I wouldn't say Game killed 50 career, i would say 50 hurt his own career, when grodt hit it was at a time when rulle was on top of the game so 50 came and took it back to the street, much like dmx did when diddy and jay was doing the club joints spitting champagne...

50 followed grodt with massacre which in my opinion was a good cd but it was completely different from grodt or his mixtapes at that time, then curtis hit and justin timberlake is on the lead single cats wasn't open to ayo technology(pop).... i think he tried to expand his fanbaase but left the one's who

Notice only a few are after that 96/97 era. Not hating on my older generation at all, but I really think my favorite albums will always be those at top.

Just like I'm sure Knowl can relate better with that 80's rap (same for BP). I mean, it's all where you from and what you relate too, right...

Music is supposed to make you remember a time in yo life....it's why this younger generation doesn't pay any attention to old school rap...they can't relate. Doesn't mean what they on is wrong....

Like, do you remember where you were, or what you were doing when Thriller first came on VH1 or MTV?

Do you remember where you were, or what you were doing when you first saw Prince's "1999" video?

Do you remember when you first heard Pac's Hit 'Em Up? Or Big's Juicy?

Those types of songs embark on era's....on years, and they put you in a frame of mind of what was crackin' back then. I feel like that's what music does, which is why it's hard for me to hate on the Soulja Boy's and Lil Wayne's or whomever...young folk, for whatever reason, relate to these dudes. Our older generation says it's the "death" of hip-hop....but you know what? They were saying the same thing in the 90's, with Dre's Chronic, and Tupac, and even Biggie. Not everyone was feeling those cats. People from the 80's thought it was over then.

This ish is all cyclical if you ask me. I will say this...

Political rap and conscious rap don't get play anymore, and that disturbs me....but I don't think Hip-Hop is on life support...

Put that back out. stop putting out the same thing with one particular artist whose hot right now (lil wayne and tpain at the moment).

@Lionnesse - I agree with BP in that we need to stop puttin' regions on our music. I'm guilty of doing it, but I'm trying to break that habit (the whole East/South/West/Midwest, etc....)

I just like good music. Most of my favorite artists are from every region on the map, so I don't just identify with one style....or certain flows...or certain beats. I like Premier, Kanye, 9th Wonder, Dre, etc, etc, etc....I mean, I just like good music (what I percieve to be good music).

I think, in terms of the way we have regionalized ish, folks are starting in on the South again (they did it back in the late 90's too), cuz folks from the south are doing they thing...

Old school soul and R&B was about love songs. It contained a different mentality. There are different types of Hip Hop, party, etc. However, lyrical and battle style Hip Hop is like Martial Arts. Now when these dudes decide to take it to the streets so to speak because they can't really say anything interesting on wax that is just a continuation of the "why you stepped on my new shoes mentality". “The state Anti-Terrorism Squad has lost a daredevil officer in Hemant Karkare,” Peter Lobo, anti-terrorism chief inspector in the nearby city of Pune, told The Times of India on Thursday.

I liked the storyline. Ya'll thinkn it must be sum bubble-gum boy band fantasy that's got me plus the teenage girls he mentioned liking it.

I liked the storyline of the Covenant.

I liked the storyline of Twilight. It's different, not ur typical blood n gore horror flick. Vegetarian vampires? Who resist their urge for human blood? Dude face in pain the whole movie.. Vampires playing baseball and hiking and ish? it was funny.

Both movies show them as people tryna blend in w/ society, instead of savage outcasts, etc.

So, if I'd committed blasmphemy for all u hardcore vampire movie lovers, send me to your hell. lol

Twilight was entertaining. And it don't get much deeper than that for me on the vampire movie tip. I wont speak for ya'll, though. :)
