The Neptunes are Pharrell and Chad and N.E.R.D. is Pharrell Chad ad I think his name is Brian maybe? But I have always known this would happen. Chad is the musician of the two. Pharrell always takes the glory of the two and is in the spotlight and singing and shit. Pharrell just wishes he was Kanye or Lupe if you really think about it. But we will see how Pharrell can make beats on his own and see who the real talent was. Hey Illseed just cuz Slim Thug is 6'6 dont mean he can fight. I remember when my sis-in-law was a manager at Sam Goody ages ago and Slim came in all like, "girl you know who I is?" to buy all his cds and bounced his check haha. Somebody took over this girls account who used to post in the IC and was saying that the IC has 24 hours left before another 4chain attack then all hell broke loose. It was really funny though. People were making goodbye threads and stuff and people were scared to check their PM messages or click links lol. Everyone was questinging who was hasn't been taken over yet. Then somebody took over Heat Wave's account and was posting threats. I came back this morning and all of the threads and post relating to it were gone and everyone is keeping quite on it. We will see what happens 2nite. It might have been Choice or someone who knows how to hack playing pranks.

Now, this whole Maino thing...

I was one of the FIRST people to say Maino wrong for smacking this dude, or roughing up Yung Berger...but here's the thing as I hear it from Maino's point of view...

Berg came at him sideways, on some "I heard you been talking slick about me" type ish...

Maino ends up smacking him....and that's it. If anything, that's WAY better than 30-40 dudes jumping him, robbing him of his jewelry and/or cash, and possibly even killing him. Here's the thing...

If it went down the way Maino says it did, then he really did do lil dude a favor, because he shouldn't be talkin' slick anyhow. I mean, it's not like MAINO was taping it or some sh*t. From the interviews I have heard, they have been where the people have called HIM to confirm it. It's not like Maino was like "I'm gonna be the sh*t in the hood" by slappin' fire out this niccah and get my name in the streets. If anything, he risked his MONEY by smacking dude, because they are on tour together, and we all know Berg's songs get more radio play than Maino...

So, I can't even hate on Maino. It's better to slap fire outta niccah and let him live another day than to just beat the sh*t outta him or even kill the lil dude.

And to the people who are sayin' Maino is wrong for smacking a "boy" and all...Yung Berg is a grown azz man. He needs to make sure he picks his battles wisely...if you can't handle that "hand of G" as Maino likes to call it, then don't step to 'em sideways. That goes to ANY dudes out there...don't talk slick and then get knocked out...

Kimbo lost, but I don't think he took an ass-whippin'. Real talk, that was one of them "the sun shines on a dog's ass" type losses. For real...we all know 99.9x out of a 100, that dude with pink hair wouldn't beat Kimbo. Kimbo just caught the perfect shot thrown from nowhere. It was almost a fantom punch when you see it in slow motion. And notice, even after he got on top of Kimbo and was punching him, with free reign, he didn't really land no crazy shots. Kimbo was coming back to his senses, but the ref HAD to stop it, because he was taking those shots to the face.

I think if the ref would have waited about 5 more seconds, Kimbo would annihilated that dude...

With all that said, it really was some of the funniest sh*t I have seen! Especially when Kimbo said "it's all good. We gonna party at the (Ark or Art Bar?)" statement. And he said Holla Atcha Boy.

Kimbo is a standup dude. He knows you win some, you lose some, but you just keep it moving. He ain't bout to sweat that ish...

It's not just some collection of song inspired by the movies. I have ride w/ my man Rakim, then Naughty for the standout joints. As soon as you heard that Naughty you knew the back was a problem!

I have heard 4 or so cuts off of it and it is Devin. If you like him as an artist it seems like you will love this album. The reason I think you feel the album is butt is because you don't care for the production. Period.

I remember a while back you were talking about how you are a BEAT junkie first and foremost. So, even if an artist's lyrics go hard, you could almost care less if the production is AZZ. I'm almost the same way to be honest. Probably why in the early 90's I became such a fan of Death Row, because Dre just killed you with dope beats. Same with Kanye....here's my take on Nas' album...

When it first dropped, it was refreshing, because I was guilty of pumping Lil Wayne's album constantly in my car, along with his mixtapes (which he didn't even promote...lol).

But then Nas finally dropped, and I was like "let me get my balance", because anyone who knows me knows I like balance.

Well, at first, Nas' album was refreshing...but then I realized I only really like about 4 or 5 of the cuts, which makes it NOT a classic. Here are the ones I can vibe with...

4 outta 15 = not a classic.

And my main issue...PRODUCTION.

I don't want to say the albums is ASS, because it has potential...with better production...

That $700 BILLION bailout was nothing more than a way to “ease” the fear of the economy, and allow the government to profit big time off the mistakes of the consumers who bought these crazy homes with basically no money. It was an opportunity take advantage of the Fannie Mae’s and Freddie Mac’s, who lent too much money to people who couldn’t afford the inflation rates they KNEW were gonna come, but they assumed their salary and “plot in life” would have increased as well. Well, now the govt. owns it, and they are gonna take those foreclosed homes, sell them for a higher rate, make the difference, and the people who were foreclosed on ain’t getting’ a dayum thing. The bailout is not doing anything for home owners, and they are still coming for their money (more if you own a home once the % increases due to the number of people who didn’t live up to their loanJ)….

It's disturbing yo...

Average annual raise is only about 2.5 – 3% annually. That means it would take, ON AVERAGE, about 5-6 years for the average American to see a 15% inflation of their salary…but inflation in America is going up rapidly. We are already almost hitting 4% annually (which means while you HOPE you get that 2.5% raise, you WILL get that 4% hike of inflation), and it might hit 6% at the rate our economy is going…

It’s SOOOO ugly folks. All I can say is this…

I’m starting to get a lot wiser with my money.

I wanna get this extra $$$ on the side first…but be weary of what’s to come my people…be weary. It’s gonna get WORSE before it gets better…

i got about 17 pair of assorted nikes. airforces and airmax mostly. couple pairs of basketball shoes for when i ball (uptempos only, no jordans). 4 pairs of reebok classics. some chucks (you know the deal) and then two sets of shelltoe adidas (black and white). keep em rotatin and so they stay fresh longer and replace when necessary.

i dont get too colorful with mines. i dress too simple for that shit. mostly whites and cool greys with some layers of color. i like my shit to look clean. too much color take away from that.

i got one pair of stacy's i bust out with the one 3 piece suit i got for special occasions (job interview, court date, funeral, easter and christmas services). black, dark burgandy and white. they smoove as hell.

ive worn some timbs and i be seein some that look cool but when it come down to buyin i aint ever owned a pair. they make me feel heavy and sluggish.

Cops attack Black activists
at Harlem parade

The Harlem Day parade, held annually in the predominately African-American community in New York City, was once again the scene of an unprovoked attack by the police.

The victims this Sept. 21 were members of the New Black Panther Party who were marching in a contingent in their name when the attack happened.

Five NBPP members were physically assaulted, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and assaulting a police officer.

The five members have become known as the Harlem Five. Two of them were scheduled to appear in a Manhattan court on Sept. 26. A community meeting about the case was held at the National Black Theater in Harlem on Sept. 28.

Their supporters have asked any spectators who were eyewitnesses to the attack to call 917-420-8662 to help assist with the legal defense of the NBPP members.

A NBPP press release characterized the incident as “a reckless and outrageous expression of police abuse.” This incident, captured on Youtube, clearly shows a police riot. (www.tinyurl.com/4eyd9x)

The Harlem Day parade has a tradition of bringing out thousands in the Black community and their supporters, along with an overwhelming, disproportionately large number of police, whose presence reflects an occupying, intimidating force.

i go shoppin at slauson swapmeet get 501 levis and a couple button ups and them knit shirts. fitted caps is the only thing i buy name brand besides shoes. i found out that as long as you put it together well and look clean and smell nice, females dont be trippin. they aint checkin the tags in your shirt anyway.

*Basher Hameed was instrumental in putting the Black Panther Party on the map in New Jersey. In 1981, he was captured and charged, along with another Panther comrade, Abdul Majid, with the killing of a Queens police officer. Hence they became known as ‘The Queens 2.’ It took three trials to secure a conviction of these warriors who each given 25 years to life…Basher passed on August 30th from pancreatic cancer while wrongly being incarcerated for well over 20 years. Abdul Majid is still in a NY state prison…

In 1908, Lt. Col. Allen Allensworth, a charismatic ex-slave and retired military man, set out to build an all-black community on a hardscrabble patch of land 40 miles north of Bakersfield.

This weekend, the centennial of his long-shuttered town will be honored by thousands of Californians trooping to the site, now known as Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park.

Though it thrived for less than a decade, the town strikes a special chord among many, who see it as a pioneering effort in black self-determination.

"That group in the first 50 years after emancipation was probably the most dynamic group we've had," said Rick Moss, chief curator of the African American Library & Museum at Oakland. "Allensworth is a real testimony to their drive, their dignity, their willpower -- it's all right there."

Moss is among the speakers at the two-day celebration. So is Lonnie G. Bunch III, founding director of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History. The Crenshaw High School Elite Choir and actor William Allen Young will be among the entertainers making appearances.

Amtrak is establishing special bus and train routes to the park from Los Angeles, Inglewood, Sacramento, Oakland and elsewhere. (Details are available at www.parks.ca.gov/). About 5,000 visitors are expected -- far more than the couple of hundred residents who lived in Allensworth at its height

BP1 - on the Nas album I can feel what your sayin. That was a disappointment....as far as the beats go...not good. Most of em anyway. I like about 5 tracks of the album but it wasn't what I thought it would be.

On the Blu thing I don't think their on some wierdo shit....just different from mainstream hip hop. No cars, clothes, guns. Most of the album has nice beats and he just talks about real life and doesn't try to be fake or hard....kinda reminds me of when Tribe or De La Soul first came out...they were on some alternative hippie shit but it was still hip hop.
