Damn Killer Mike was going at all of the negative people. The doubters only show up, just to talk shit. They really have no particular reason to involve themselves, it's just to take away from someone doing more than they are. If you're not a supporter of the grind, then you don't need to be listening. Plain and simple. Not saying you can't listen, but if you're going to leae the situation unsatisfied, you might as well find a better way to pass your time.

On to the point of the post: I mess with Killer Mike, and WAY too many people give credit to other people as far as being "real" is concerned, but this is REAL. It's real, but he also doesn't sacrifice his lyricism just to get fans. These so called "real" cats can't rap for shit, so why feel them as a rapper? They might as well just write books, because their rhymes are ass. But of course if they struggle writing 3 verses, they would fail miserably attempting to write a decent novel.

I think what people hate the most is the fact that he raps well, and then talks about shit that people can relate to. Because every Killer Mike song isn't about showing his ass, acting like a damn fool, bragging about doing dumb shit, people say he's destined to fail. Personally, I love the singles he has picked for his album, but people claim he's wack because they never received any play. I'd rather release an album that I respect, than some mainstream over hyped bullshit, with mass appeal. The rap game right now is trash, that's why these artists have to do a mixtape and an album 4-8 months after their album. At least Killer Mike is trying to keep hope alive. Go for it!! God help, but some women are co artists. The have babies for the wrong reason. Those women should have their tubes tied. Addicts and so forth. I have a neighbor who is or was a Meth addict. She has a child my daughter age and had a baby at the end of last year. If any of you recall, a few weeks ago (about a month) I came on and said I had delivered my neighbors' baby. Not even a year has passed since her second, and I was delivering her third. She is not working (of course) and the father of the last two is someones man. He lives w/ someone else. Looking at her you would say she is 30-35. She just made 24 at the head of the year. 24 and 3 kids, 2 of which are back to back. I was at the hospital when they asked her if she wanted her tubes tied and she said," No. Although I probably should." She needs a $1000!!

A lot of this stuff I saw yesterday somewhere and went to my sister!

don't panic the folks with the faltering economy, we act like we never grew up without money.. This is the time to make changes!
Change the way we eat, cuz the food is so dam expensive. Change the way we live, in terms of not being dependent on material things because those are just materialistic.. Change the way we spend our money, this means if u want take ur money outta bank acct and start ur own box of saving don't touch it till u really need it, purchase things that are necessary and avoid the unnessary.. Change the way u shop.. If ur use to shopping in ritzy ass malls it needs to stop cuz we ain't got it like that right now, seek alternative solutions for those addicted to shopping.. Change the way we use our electric and the water we use.. Replace ur light bubls with energy efficient light bulbs u will see a decrease in ur light bill, if u use ac program ur system as to where its comfortable for and leave it there, when brushing ur teeth don't let the water run turn it off this could save u some end$ for those who pay water bill.. There are so many ways to save a dolla.. U just have to change ur ways of consumption and when u do u will have more change to spare.. And folks need to stop being depenent on fuel.. Change the way u get to work, rude the bus, carpool, walk, ride the bike, ride the train.. anything to help U.. Just because the economy is in criis we can't let that drive us to do crazy things.. Just be more aware when ur spending.. I take calculators to go shopping, folks may look at me crazy but I'm the one saving money and know how much I can and cannot spend.. u gotta smrt with ur money.. U.S. stocks opened weak, then fell off a cliff after the House of Representatives voted down a $700 billion plan intended to restore stability to the nation's wobbly financial system. That sent Brazil's stock market down 10 percent, prompting authorities in Sao Paulo to temporarily suspend trading, amid worries of a deep U.S. economic slowdown.

When markets opened Tuesday morning in Asia, the trend continued. Stocks fell by 3 to 6 percent in early trading throughout the region. At midday, Japan's stock market had skidded more than 4 percent.

In the seldom-interrupted cycle of global financial markets, the extraordinary pace and scale of events brought an abrupt end to the confident attitude displayed by European officials as recently as last week, when officials claimed that shareholders and investors there had less to fear than their American counterparts because European banks weren't as heavily exposed to the troubled mortgage loans undermining the U.S. system.

That T.I. parody was funny, cause i dig T.I.'s music (the first 3 albums moreso than the last 2 not counting Paper Trail) but i wasn't feelin this single, but i know it was for the ladies so whatever. But i would always trip on T.I.'s little part in the chorus when he would sing "Yeah", so when then sang the "Sike" that shit had me rollin. The part in the chorus bout the Jones on ice had me trippin too, Jones Soda some good shit (for those who have neva tried it).

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college - it'll be there

Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car - create jobs

Invest in the market - capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

Speaking of delayed gratification. Let me ask you what you think about this situation I got w/ my sister. First off, my sister is really my cousin. My mom adopted her @ 6 months cause her biological mother was the poster child for deadbeat hood rats and my aunt (sis's biological grandmother) didn't want the "burden". All that said, she still my sister. She's basically had the exact same upbringing as me.....or should I say better because she wasn't around when it was just me and my momz livin' in the projects. She got to reap the benefits of having a father cause momz had remarried before she was born and the financial stability of a two-income household.

The big difference between us is that I've always been more responsible and she has a lot of the same qualities that I remember from her biological mother. Long story short, I've done the college thing, w/ moms help, got a family and a relatively successful career. My sister, on the other hand, is stuck in the trap. She was the type that couldn't wait til' she turned 18 so she could get out on her own because she didn't want to live by mom's rules. Education was never a priority and self-motivation was non-existent.....despite all the help everyone gave her. To top that off, she's got his "boyfriend", which is 75% of her problem, who is the stereotypical "street" cat ( prison record, guns, drugs, gang affiliation, etc. ). She called me this past weekend sobbin' about how they got evicted cause she lost her job ( more coonery ) ...yadda yadda....she's sick and tired of living this way....yadda yadda yadda......tired of niggaz breakin' in....yadda yadda yadda. Momz and I have been trying to school her for years but she never would listen. She wanted that instant gratification instead of working for the long term. Now she's paying for it. The story is really deeper than that, but I don't want to bore.

Anyway though....why is it that these kids can't look around them, see all of the examples of what not to do or be....and make better life choices....especially the kids who have a supportive family? I remember seeing niggaz, from wealthy families, graduate high school and go str8 to the dope game cause them had been pampered all their life and didn't know how to make it once they were out on their own. They wanted that same lifestyle w/o the effort. I've seen little brothers end up in prison right along with the older brothers for doing the same shit they did. How come they didn't learn from the older ones mistakes? Are some niggaz really so lazy and detached from reality that they would rather risk life for quick thrills versus puttin' in the effort to build towards something better for their families and communities?

First she laughed and was like "oh girl because sometimes I just don't feel like coming to work"....and I understand that, we all have those days, but this is why we have personal/vacation time....if you know your ass is going to miss a few days out the week then take off, don't be selfish and make work harder for your co-workers! If the mine closes, it allows for economic opportunity - it allows for the next man who can handle payroll and repairs to come in, buy it up, and continue business as normal. Or it allows for someone who can shuttle coal to get it to the power plant. Or it allows the power plant to see that the next business they need to get into is...shuttling coal.

People should NOT be operating a company on credit! Do you want your employer to pay you based on how much money creditors can give them this week, or would you rather they pay you based on actual real dollars they exist as a part of their cash flow? Business 101: live and die by cashflow, if you don't have it - you shouldn't be in business! Businesses that must operate on credit, or that received credit when they shouldn't have, is the at the root of the problem.

Bankruptcy is not bad, and it's what all those companies who can no longer function need to do. Bankruptcy allows for businesses and homes, to close down the dysfunctional parts of a business, but allow the functional parts to continue to exist, so that someone who can handle the business came come in and create a new opportunity. Same thing with a house, if YOU fucked up and can't pay your mortgage - YOU might have to declare bankruptcy. Who's fault? Them for lending to you when you probably wouldn't have been able to get credit, or you for being delinquent in payments? Well, both. So, both of you should suffer the consequences. We do not need $700 billion to prevent anyone from failing. Those companies need to fail.

People are acting like there isn't someone who has money right behind them ready to buy their company. Get with it people, stop believing the apocalyptic predictions and definitely to AHH...STOP SPREADING THEM. Why can people not realize that the whole premise of America is that any person is supposed to have the same opportunities of the next man. There are plenty of people who are not a part of the "inner circle" that can afford these companies, the foreclosed homes, etc. - it's just that the government does not want them to have them. They want them. Think about it, if the government is telling you that most of the $700bil will be recovered because the government will actually make a profit on the sale of foreclosed homes, etc. - then why would average citizens not want the properties, so that they can make a profit? The answer: THEY DO!!!! So, let them buy them!!!! But, instead the government would rather buy them first, and be the one's who sell them to that "average citizen" therefore, the government making some money off the transaction. They want to be middlemen. Pointless middlemen, at that.

Suck it up, continue to vote NO on the bail-out plan, cut back your lifestyle, and weather the storm. And while you're at it, go educate yourself on the Fair Tax plan, and see how we can change our regressive system that unjustly taxes citizens. Please realize people, "income taxes" were meant to be levied on businesses. The definition of income has been distorted, it is supposed to mean your gains, profit. If you make $25k next year, and spend $25K - you didn't make any gains, you broke even. You should not be taxed 23% on your gains of zero! Please realize that the tax game is a racket, that will ALWAYS lead to more taxes.

And allhiphop.com - please stop trying to scare people. You are assisting the administration by pushing apocalyptic ideals on them, and that's just not right. It's bad enough you recycle late news, videos, and articles from nahright, 2dopeboyz, and all the other hip hop blogs who have to stay on their grind, while you all use them so you can do less work. The occasional stray from hiphop by illseed, was what made the site worth it. Dude only came in town when he was going to see his parents and I only saw him then cause I would be over there visiting my cousin when he was in town w/ his dad. Momz remarried when I was around 11 or 12. Dude took on that responsibility and I commend him for that, but I don't think I ever really accepted him as a father. Truth be known, as long as momz was happy, I was too. Can't really say I missed my biological cause its hard to miss what you never had...but I think it did have an affect on how I view the world.

People are inherently lazy. Period. A job is not meant to do anything more than keep you enslaved to a system of oppression. I know it sounds kinda like slavery, because, well, that’s what it is. You ever notice that the people whom are pissing you off make about as much, if not MORE, than what you make? Yet, you come to work on time, work your butt off, and get the work done? It’s kinda f*cked up, right!?

Well, it’s a SYSTEM that has been in place for the better part of 150 years, give or take. The Industrial Revolution set in stone a mentality to allow big business to do for you what you could do BETTER for yourself. I spoke on this a WHILE ago, but it all went like this…

We all used to work farms, own cornerstores, pharmacies, etc, etc, etc…

Many people didn’t go to school because they were too busy workin’ the “family business”, whatever that business was.

Big business came along and said work in our factories, and we’ll guarantee you MONEY and BENEFITS (but they didn’t tell you there was a CEILING to what you could make now did they?)

Big business started to take the kids and build schools and univerisities…even put them through college in some cases with scholarship, and then churn them out to work in their offices and factories, handling the hard labor or accounting/finances. But they still put a ceiling onto what they could make.

Big business basically turned the average American into a slave of the system, plugged into their health benefits, salaries, and “opportunities” to go as high as they will possibly let you…but not telling you you have a better chance of hitting LOTTO than becoming a CEO of their company…

Then they keep you in that position with use of FEAR…so you work harder and harder, because you don’t want to lose your job (especially in this economy), meanwhile, some of your counterparts find a way to just “skate” through…

It’s kinda sad ain’t it? Don’t even let me get onto the fact they tell you when you’re hungry, when you can take breaks, and when it’s a good time for YOU to take a vacation (or when it’s not).

Meanwhile, that broad you pulled to the side is calling in sick because she just didn’t feel like coming in…and ya’ll get paid the same salary (if she don’t happen to make more). All because they put a limit on how much they were gonna pay ya’ll.

it was all in one day.

Black people clamor more to Tyler Perry because Tyler focuses on Bill Cosby “Huxtable” ish, while Spike Lee hits you with REAL issues in your mouth...point blank. It’s not a KNOCK on Tyler Perry at all, because I’m a HUGE fan of his movies. I typically buy every one of ‘em that comes out on DVD…but I’m a huge Spike fan too. Spike hasn’t ever really received the backing he needs for his movies because Spike is more of a renegade.

Think about it…who in they right mind would even CONSIDER dropping a movie about an ALL BLACK BRIGADE during a major American war? That’s the kinda ish you don’t even THINK of.

Did you know Spike has only had ONE movie gross MORE than $100 million? You guessed it…The Inside Man, starring Denzel Washington AND Clive Owen. That movie was slick, but you and I both know it has NOTHING on any of Spike’s earlier films. And he can't even get the backing he needs from the MAJORS to produce the films he wants to make because they are all about their money...and it's sad to say, but they're probably right because WE (BLACK PEOPLE) don't support Spike like we should anyhow...

Personally, I hate to say it, but I feel like it’s America’s way of saying Spike is TOO black for us. Tyler Perry likes to “make fun” of some of the stereotypes that permeate our people while trying to get a message across. I’m not knocking him, because Madea is funny as hell, as are the Browns and other characters. But America LOVES to laugh AT us, rather than really dissect what is affecting US. Spike likes to smack you in the mouth with characters like Gator from Jungle Fever, or Radio Raheem from Do The Right Thing. Characters that make you “think” about what being black in America, ya dig?

I almost feel like if I had to compare them, I would say Tyler Perry is MLK and Spike Lee is Malcolm X. America feared BOTH of them, but they were more willing to work with Martin than they were Malcolm.

but this is what i think.

i think a mother - a woman is soft and a father - a man is hard.
and together they complement each other perfectly.

i think (on average. there are always exceptions) when a boy has only the soft (mother) his expectations in life can be...imbalanced.

i think when a boy has a father, it makes him know that things can be ruff. but you will survive.
it also gives him a bit of fear and cautiousness.

you not gon trip with your dad. i didn't.

i showed off and ran fast as shit and laughed with everyone else.
but i ain't play with my dad.

these reservations in a little boy prolly translate to decision making as an adult.

i think when you got ya real dad around and he ont take no mess it helps balance you.

maybe that fear and apprehension helps you process thoughts or something in a rational manner as an adult.

i think it's that fear and cautiousness that a father instills in you that balances you out.

you think of the consequences of your actions.

I was raised predominantly by my mother. My father was NOT a major figure in my life. Therefore, I grew up knowing more and more about feminine things, like how women think, how they have a tendency to “feel” with their heart, and how they communicate. I put a book up on here earlier, The Five Love Languages…I think anybody who is in a relationship should peep that out.

Ultimately, it talks about how people love differently. But here is what I personally got from the book…

Women tend to think more with their heart. Women want LOVE.

Men have a tendency to think with their minds. Men want RESPECT. EGO.

I agree that we come together to make a complete whole, but the important thing is knowing how to communicate with the opposite.

In regards to not having a father, I had to depend on my older brothers (same father, different mothers) to “toughen” me up. To make sure I never let anyone run over me, or that I wasn’t a punk if/when someone would step to me on some foul ish…

I love them for that. They are both locked up right now (well, one gets out in Two Days!), but I can honestly say they helped make me a better man, so that I didn’t learn TOO much in them streets that would make me act an azz and find myself locked up.

I still believe it’s really hard for a woman to teach a boy how to become a MAN. It’s one of the main reasons I think WE as a people are f*cked up right now in America, because we are going on decade 4 of not having the strong black man in the home…

I agree w/ alotta of what you said. I've always been a self motivated and inquisitive person so my mom never really had to be on me about school or learning. My biological pops is a Ph D college professor/scientist type cat w/ street roots....type of cat that would smoke a B w/ ya over a glass of Hennessey....then politic w/ ya about biogenetics...lol. His parents were also college professors w/ Ph Ds. Momz was no slouch either. Although he wasn't around, I see alot of his attributes in myself. He is more outgoing while my momz is more laid back and reserved. She's the type to peep a person and have their whole m/o analyzed before they finish the first sentence. A lot of how I interact w/ the world...I get from her. A lot of how I interpret the world... I get from him. Being that my mother held me down through think and thin, I'm of course more drawn to her and I have that trait where....if I'm down 4 you....I'm down 4 you no questions........but you fuck me over just once....and its a wrap. Mom basically played the role of both parents.....even after she remarried cause step-dad wasn't really comparable from a intelligence standpoint ( nicest way I could put that..lol ).

Sometimes I wonder how different I'd be if my biological dad was there. All the men on that side of the family were players and womanizers. Hell, I just found out I had 3 other aunts last year when my grandfather died. I got the game from pops, but I got the compassion from momz. The way I view women comes more from her raising me. All in all, I think my interaction, or lack thereof, w/ both has made me a well balanced, open minded person.

On the flipside, if it was like a car wreck or something, then I would want to maybe console the homey. Real talk, I had a friend die by the hands of another friend by accident in a car wreck. He was distraught...destroyed by that ish. @ Kappagem, thanks for that response....you know I was thinking the same thing so one Saturday the 3 of us were discussing our salary (which we're really not supposed to do), it turns out the ones that do come to work everyday on time make $1 or $2 more than the ones who don't. Im wondering if that's the reason why they don't....no one works because they want to or like it, hell Im going back to school in the Fall to get my brokers license so I can be in control of my own hours. I hate getting up @ 5 a.m. just to come in and talk to computer illiterate ass folks with no patience! I mean, don't get me wrong I like my co-workers and all but Im a teamplayer and when I get ready to call in I think about my co-workers...I never call in on a Monday because I know we're always busy and I've been at work sick so many times... I've had to get sent home because I would rather come to work and let my manager see Im sick so they know when I call in something must be wrong. Both of my manangers are black so we try to stick together like the white people and hispanics do yanno?!? We cover each others asses is what I mean by that statement (dont wanna offend any other Ahh readers), but it's hard to cover someones ass when they're steady fucking up! It makes it harder on management and us also.
I've been here a yr and I can count how many times I've called in on one hand...it's not that Im afraid to lose my job because I have lots of IT experience and that job appears to be in high demand these days, I've always been that way with every job I've had....I've worked in retail standing up for long periods and that was a lot more difficult than sitting on your ass taking incoming calls all day!
Some people like you said, are just inherently lazy!!! I loved your response tho, thanks for the enlightment!!! I can't wait til my girl LT Brown takes a stab at this one, lol..........

Same thing with a house, if YOU fucked up and can't pay your mortgage - YOU might have to declare bankruptcy. Who's fault? Them for lending to you when you probably wouldn't have been able to get credit, or you for being delinquent in payments? Well, both. So, both of you should suffer the consequences. We do not need $700 billion to prevent anyone from failing. Those companies need to fail.

People are acting like there isn't someone who has money right behind them ready to buy their company. Get with it people, stop believing the apocalyptic predictions and definitely to AHH...STOP SPREADING THEM. Why can people not realize that the whole premise of America is that any person is supposed to have the same opportunities of the next man. There are plenty of people who are not a part of the "inner circle" that can afford these companies, the foreclosed homes, etc. - it's just that the government does not want them to have them. They want them. Think about it, if the government is telling you that most of the $700bil will be recovered because the government will actually make a profit on the sale of foreclosed homes, etc. - then why would average citizens not want the properties, so that they can make a profit? The answer: THEY DO!!!! So, let them buy them!!!! But, instead the government would rather buy them first, and be the one's who sell them to that "average citizen" therefore, the government making some money off the transaction. They want to be middlemen. Pointless middlemen, at that.

Suck it up, continue to vote NO on the bail-out plan, cut back your lifestyle, and weather the storm. And while you're at it, go educate yourself on the Fair Tax plan, and see how we can change our regressive system that unjustly taxes citizens. Please realize people, "income taxes" were meant to be levied on businesses. The definition of income has been distorted, it is supposed to mean your gains, profit. If you make $25k next year, and spend $25K - you didn't make any gains, you broke even. You should not be taxed 23% on your gains of zero! Please realize that the tax game is a racket, that will ALWAYS lead to more taxes.

And allhiphop.com - please stop trying to scare people. You are assisting the administration by pushing apocalyptic ideals on them, and that's just not right. It's bad enough you recycle late news, videos, and articles from nahright, 2dopeboyz, and all the other hip hop blogs who have to stay on their grind, while you all use them so you can do less work. Whatever you do, you need to get out of that circle you be with. I don't know if it's just that friend, other friends, etc...but you need to leave that sh*t alone. I was hoping it was some "accident" type ish, where something crazy happened (like, say a car wreck or something). Something EVERYBODY else know about. But you talkin' bout the victim's mom's don't even know...that's UGLY.

I don't know what I would do in that situation, but I do know I couldn't be friends with the cat who did it. Not unless he decided to clear his conscious and come clean about taking the dude's life (however it happened).

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana (CNN) — Federal authorities will conduct an investigation into the shootings of unarmed civilians, allegedly by seven police officers, on a New Orleans bridge in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, officials said Tuesday.

In August, a judge dismissed state charges against the seven, six of whom are still police officers.

The Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the FBI’s New Orleans office issued a statement saying they plan to conduct “an independent and thorough review” of the incident on the Danziger Bridge.

The shootings occurred September 4, 2005, just after Hurricane Katrina slammed into the Gulf Coast. Two men were killed and four were wounded as they were attempting to evacuate by crossing the Danziger Bridge over the Industrial Canal in eastern New Orleans.

a few things...

there is no hidden agenda behind voicing my interpretation of information i have captured as i watch what is happening. most companies, just like individual consumers make use of credit lines, even for their day to day operations. with the larger banks attempting to get out of the business of commercial lending as they now see it as too risky, the credit abridgement will affect not only the average consumer, but also companys that operate regularly and abundantly thru credit. and it has already happened in small measures. i dont agree with the bail out plan and i do agree with the fair tax measures as well as taking your share of personal responsibility for ur conspicuous consumerism. but whether this situation is contrived or not is irrelevant in the physical sense just as those rolling black outs were in Cali years ago when Enron was the power king. Yes, the black outs were contrived, but that made it no less dark.

When you initially asked the question I didn't know what to say...but now I see where the real problem is. Like somebody said earlier...sounds like some Juice type shit. I'm assuming dude knows that you know his involvement and that you were friends w/ dude. How does he feel about your friendship w/ ya partner that got killed? MIAMI -- Ricky Williams says he was briefly tempted to smoke marijuana during the Miami Dolphins' bye weekend, an act that could have ended his roller-coaster NFL career.

Williams has been in the league's substance-abuse program since 2002 and has tested positive for marijuana.

Williams told The Miami Herald for Tuesday's editions that when players were given Friday off, "Automatically your mind, which is so constrained since training camp began ... says, 'I'm free, what can I do?' "

"So there was definitely an urge," he said. "But I just thought about what I have to lose, and it was easy. The urge didn't last very long."

Since 2004, the Dolphins running back has played only 16 NFL games, including three this year. If Williams were to smoke marijuana again, he would likely be out of the NFL for good because he already has violated the league drug policy four times.

"There's no space, no wiggle room for me," Williams said.

He said that doesn't scare him, because he feels he's in control and on the right path. He said he successfully fought off the latest urge to smoke by meditating instead, which gives him the same "feeling of being free" as marijuana.

"A lot of times when people have some kind of addiction, what happens is they make a mistake and trip up and afterward say, 'I don't know what I was thinking,' " he said. "If you always try to be aware of what is going on in your mind, you won't ever get to that point where it's too late."

The 1998 Heisman Trophy winner and 2002 NFL rushing champion said it's normal to have an urge to smoke. Williams is tested nine times per month on a random basis. The man who administers the urinalysis for the NFL sometimes shows up at Williams' home before dawn.

Williams said he will not smoke marijuana again while he's in the NFL, but he's uncertain whether he'll abstain when his career ends.

"I'd be lying if I said I'm never going to do it again after I'm done," he said. "I don't know. I don't spend much time thinking about it."

Pentagon: Israel will soon attack Iran

LONDON, (IranMania) - A senior Pentagon official says there is an 'increasing likelihood' that Israel will launch an attack on Iran before the year's end, PressTV reported.

"The red line is not when they get to that point, but before they get to that point," the official said.

He also warned that Israel may decide to strike Iran before the Russian SA-20 air defense systems are installed in Iran as it would make an attack on the country much more difficult.

The Pentagon official maintained that a long-range Israeli air force exercise conducted in early June was a training exercise to prepare for a possible attack on Iran.

However, the official said he expects to see more such drills before Israel moves closer to launch a military strike on the Islamic Republic.

The remarks by the Pentagon official comes amid escalating speculation that Israel is preparing to launch a military strike on Iran with the help of US President George W. Bush before the end of his term in office.

Senior Iranian officials and the country's high-ranking military commanders have been on record saying that any attack by any country on Iran would receive the most devastating response imaginable. Iran's top Revolutionary Guards general said Saturday that the entire Israeli territory was within reach of the Islamic Republic's powerful Shahab missiles.

Iran has also floated the idea of disrupting the flow of oil through the Hormuz Strait in the Persian Gulf in the event of a US or Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities, which it insists are aimed ate peaceful purposes, particularly to meet the country's growing need for electricity
