UGH...I hate when people comment about another person's post and totally blow s**t out of proportion.

I understand why these people can't vote, but what I don't understand is why we have black people out there who are able to vote but choose not to regardless of who they support. I mean our ancestors fought and some even died for us to have this right and we treat this shit like it doesn't mean anything... but are quick to stand in line for 4 hours to get food stamps...SMH...this has got to stop. These politicians (as crooked as they may be) pass the laws that effect our daily lives. Not just the president, but the people we elect for every office (local, city, state, congress, senate, etc.) What happens is we get so content with them given us food stamps, medicaid, welfare, & child support that we don't go out and vote for the candidates who have our best intrest at heart...not just us, but the American people as a whole. Meanwhile, the well-off white people are at the polls voting for the candidates who have THEIR best intrest at heart, and who is left to suffer??? US!!! Which we should, because we didn't do anything about it in the 1st place. Like I said, this does not just apply to the presidential race...we need to vote on all levels.

Second of all, do you really think that I'm that much of a moron to believe that shit is going to change the day after Obama takes office? You must think that I'm Sarah Palin or something. With comments like that maybe it's a good thing that you can't vote.

All I am saying like many other Americans is that we need someone in office who is going to clean up the Bush administration's mess. Anyone with a brain knows that this is not going to happen overnight. It may not even happen within the 4 years that this president will be in office. I don't know about you, but I would at least like to see things get better within my lifetime and not get worse, which I feel is what will happen if MKKKain is elected. I get so tired of people saying that Obama can't fix anything...HOW DO YOU KNOW??? Were you in America during the Clinton years? I must say that that was another situation where some one had to clean up a Bush's mess!!! Clinton was successful...why is it impossible for Barack to be?

When George Bush Sr. left office the economy was aslo in shambles (just not as bad as it will be w/Bush Jr). The fiscal budget deficit was over $290 billion when he left office in 1993. Fortunantly, my boy Clinton comes in & saves the day, becoming the most prosperous regimens of all time. If you were here, think about how gas prices were under a dollar, unemployment dropped by half(4%-a 40 yr low), 15 million jobs were created, black people were finally able to afford to get out of apts. & into houses, the gap in social classes was not as big, the forclosure rate was low, the stock market grew, banks were not going under, need I go on? I don't know about you, but I enjoyed the prosperity of the Clinton years, and I look forward to our country returning to that. Bush managed to squander everything we had just like his dad did before, as did Herbert Hoover during the Great Depression. Do you see the pattern? A Republican is always fuckin up shit and a Democrat always has to come in and clean up like Bill Clinton, Franklin Roosevelt, and hopefully Barack Obama.

Like I said before, Obama does not have a magic wand to zap away all of our problems, but if Clinton and Roosevelt can make or economy stronger...why can't he???

I get so sad seeing how the minds of younger ppl have been programmed. These young Black girls really believe they are ugly b/c they are darkskinned. I didn't kno the standard when I lived in the hood & was a little girl. Suddenly, the size of my lips, texture of my hair, and tone of my skin mattered when I moved to a middle-class area w/ mainly whites & latinos. That jacked me up for a minute. Especially havin Black boys co-sign that backwards thinking, sayin the Black girls was ugly but the non-Blacks was beautiful. Had to come full circle & realize it was THEM & not ME. Same shit I was insecure about ended up bein the features I get complimented on by solid Black men the most: skin, hair, & lips.

It's a long journey out the programming, feel? These video directors need to cut that mess out, they not realizing they're part of setting the standards for beauty w/ the younger generation.
