THE RETURN OF RAEKWON
Raekwon is about to come back out. This news is far from a rumor, but I thought I would bring it anyway. The album is Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II and it is all set to drop in the first quarter of 2009. Instead of coming out under Wu-Tang and Aftermath, it is coming out with Rae’s Icewater Records. Look for RZA, Dr. Dre, Marley Marl, Travis Barker and a bunch of regulars like Wu Tang and Busta Rhymes.
DJ KHALED SELLING HIS HOUSE?
I don't know why anybody would care about this. But, I heard Khaled, the Don DJ of Miami, is selling his home. I don't know what that means, but I guess he is getting a bigger spot. I also heard that Dj Khaled, Rick Ross, and T-Pain were recently at the airport in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I'm not sure this is true. I mean, T-Pain was on Saturday Night Live with Luda…not sure.

Michael Jackson went and did like Shyne. He has reportedly gone and changed his name and his religion. You may now call him Mikaeel, according to rumors. Mikaeel reportedly became a Muslim at a friend's house in Los Angeles, says the Daily Mail. He was a Jehovah's Witness, but has changed up his religious swag, I guess. I don’t think that is going to absolve him of those million dollar debts.
JILL SCOTT PREGNANT?
I am not sure anybody would care either way…but I heard that Jill Scott is preggers. And when I say nobody cares, I mean that with respect. There is no scandal and nobody is going to be outside her crib like Tom and Katie. She is engaged. Anyway, if she is preggers, I wish her well. She’s a class act. I did hear that her fiancé already has three other kids, if that matters these days for grown ups
DAMN RAP MUSIC: CAUSING DIVORCES!
In a few, you will read about how Britney Spears blames the media and photogs for her wacky behavior, but, she places the blame on rap for the dissolution of her marriage. Well, it didn’t help that her spouse wasn’t very talented as a rapper and continued to try to spit raps like he was Rakim. She says when she was trying to be romantic. She said, "He started to do an album for himself and he started to do things for himself, and I just never saw him anymore." At least she didn’t marry a real rapper, then she really would have never seen him.
SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END
Nobody did anything? A Miami teenager straight up killed himself on the internet in a live stream and nobody did a thing. The boy, 19 years old, took a bunch of pills as people watched or egged him on. The kid was a college student that suffered from bi-polar disorder and eventually took all his pills and some sleeping pills at one time. The deadly cocktail ended his life. He appeared to go to sleep on his bed. Eventually, people realized it wasn’t a joke and contacted the website. The only thing is, that took about 12 hours. When police did arrive, the boy was still streaming live from the house…dead. Some didn’t take him seriously, because he had threatened suicide in the past and didn’t do it. Needless to say, the family is furious and looking for answers. This man be an instance where there are going have a hard time getting closure.

50 Cent Takes Over Shade 45
He was among a whole bunch of folks last night hosting the 6p-8p slot. Don't ask me who is normally there. I have no idea. But anyway, 50 turned it into a club punch fest for a second, taking random shots at other rappers. Here is a little of what was said.
50 believes if Kanye sells more than 500,000 units then it no longer matters what you write or produce musically. It will just prove that your positioning in the industry is the only key to sales. He also mocked Kanye, changing the Love Lockdown lyrics to, "I'm in love with him. He's in love with me."
The crew in the studio also talked about how things have changed in rap saying people can kiss dudes and rock tongue rings and it's okay. To which 50 responded that you can even sit on the stand and it's okay. Hmmm. I wonder who they were talking about.
He also went in on Rocsi from 106 & Park, called her a bitch and suggested some inappropriate relations between her and Whoo Kid, but Whoo Kid was there and didn't confirm that ish.
FCC is Still Hounding Janet Jackson
The FCC is trying to take Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction all the way to the Supreme Court. They have filed an appeal to whatever court that was that threw the case out saying the grounds of the dismissal were erroneous. I guess they still want her to pay that fine for giving one of the gals some air. I wonder how much Timberlake will have to pay.
Semtex Talks to Kanye
Kanye told this BBC guy that the melodies on his latest album have been floating around in his head for a minute and he refused to let fear of rejection keep him from expressing himself. Then he said he doesn't listen to Hip Hop in his apartment anymore because his apartment is way too nice to host that type of music. He has to go somewhere much less nice to listen to Hip Hop. I'm curious though. Didn't Hip Hop buy that apartment? If it makes you feel better, he did admit that he can't sing.

Jacko and the Sheik Settle
More info on illseed's quickie...Michael Jackson seems to have settled this lawsuit filed against him by the Sheik of Bahrain prior to his testimony. I think he was scheduled to testify today, but the two sides came to an agreement. I'm assuming this means the 4 million dollars he was given wasn't a gift after all.
If you didn't know, this Sheik was suing Mike because he allegedly paid him 4 million dollars to make an album, write a book and create some sort of stage show. Mike took the money but didn't do the work in return. Mike said the money was given to him out of the kindness of the Sheik's heart.
NOW FOR MR. NORE.
I am not sure if you know, but I have developed a bit of a “situation” with my homey Nore. This reminds me of the lunchroom discussions we’d have over who was the best rapper. Here is some background history on this Nore/illseed agreeing to disagree.

Now, as you can see (by the comments and Nore’s remarks) most people took exception to Nore calling Lil Wayne as his No. 1 Greatest of All Time and I homed in on the fact that he included Grand Daddy I.U. over the likes of predecessor Big Daddy Kane. Certainly, Nore is entitled to his opinion, but he begins to test the idea that an opinion can be wrong.
FIRST: I told Nore that Big Daddy Kane came first and then Grand Daddy I.U. came out. Both were initially on Cold Chillin’ Records. Nore somehow thinks G.D.I.U. came out in ’85 and Kane came out in ’89. Nore, you the man, but a historian you aren’t.
1) Big Daddy Kane came out in the year 1988, but the single for “Raw” came hit stores in 1987. His second came out in 1989 and his third tape was released in the year 1990.
2) In the year 1990, Grand Daddy I.U. debuted on the commercial market with Smooth Assassin. By then Kane was ghostwriting for Biz Markie and had three albums out. SMH. Now I do want people to read up on Grand Daddy I.U., because he is an ill lyricist that is still doing his thing. He also did some writing for Biz Markie as well has production in the 90s for a number of groups. Check out his myspace and give him some props.
3) Because I am a big fan of Nore as an artist as well as CNN (who have a new CD coming out), I won’t ether him on thinking Lil Wayne is the NUMBER ONE RAPPER Dead or Alive. He can have that opinion, because its just an opinion…however…I can’t save him from the opinions of his opinions!
NORE’S DISS OF MY GIRL KELLY!
This reminds me of Biggie. Nore couldn't get me so he had to get the closest one to me...my pretend girlfriend. Nore disses me bad here…and dissed Kelly Rowland too. I happen to think Kelly is one of the most desirable women on earth. I say desirable, because that’s more than just looks. BUT, if you want to talk looks, Nore…LOOK!
