CTE Rapper Boo Da Boss Player aka Boo was in a horrible car accident that broke two bones in his back and one of his arms, I am being told. I heard that he was driving from his home town of Canton, MS to Atlanta and got in a very bad car accident. Get better!
FIELD MOB REUNION?!
Fans of Hip-Hop! I have an announcement to make! Field Mob has decided to put aside their differences and reunite, from my sources. They have reportedly recorded a number of songs together and will probably start putting them out soon. If you look hard on the net, you can find their new stuff, I am told. I haven’t yet found it, but I am going to start looking as soon as you see today’s rumors. Also Kenjo is the man behind the beats, as he usually is when Field Mob decides to get it together. I wonder…DTP?
WAS SHAKIR STEWART’S DEATH SHADY?
I will be the first to admit, I didn’t want to break this rumor even though I had been hearing it from the jump. Recent industry chatter reinforced what I had been hearing. Now, the leaks are all over the place. People are suggesting that it may be possible that Shakir was somehow affiliated with an ATL street gang and that lead to his untimely demise. Now, there is no evidence supporting that at all. In fact, no foul play has been inferred either – only suicide. But, the streets are talking. It has been stated that he had been forced to borrow a lot of money from people that might want to collect in creative ways, if you catch my drift. Also, they said that he wasn’t very happy and worked endlessly. The one thing that continues to stick out is that Shakir;s behavior had changed radically in the weeks leading up to his death. We have about 12 weeks to wait for autopsy reports.

Wendy Williams and Charlamagne Tha God – they are like my rumor family. They get it gully. Now, as told by Lady Drama, radio station WBLS has fired C tha G! Wendy released a statement on the air and they are saying that the financial crisis has forced them to cut staff. Its real in the field everybody. TRUST. C has been down with Wendy for a few years now. "They say unemployment has surges higher now than it has in the last 25 years, shoppers have turned frugal, the economy is sinking. The credit problem, financial stresses and everybody is suffering, me, you and everybody. I just want to be honest with you all as honest as I possibly can be....This is not the end of the changes that are happening here." That last statement is highly suggestive that Wendy may be off the air completely, as Drama stated. I heard that the whole Wendy team was let go. Damn. Charlamagne is a cool cat, who never ceases to amaze with his candid talk.
XM / SIRIUS MERGER = JOBS LOST
I have some information for you all. You know Sirius and XM satellite radio stations are merging. Well, here is the deal. Several Hip-Hop and R&B shows will be lost. These station channels are about to become a part of the Shade45 family. Some of the other XM stuff will be converted into Hip-Hop Nation. The whole mess will get some people gone and other working with strangers.

How funny is this? Oprah Winfrey – the QUEEN – had to use a port-a-potty at the celebration for Barack Obama on Tues. She had never used a portable toilet before that and decided to just use the damn thing, rather than miss Barack’s ceremony. Oprah hopes that Barack will stay in touch.

Also, the word on the street is that Oprah is giving refuge to Jennifer Hudson in her time of mourning. O is letting the actress stay at her luxury Chicago condo. I know she would be singing at the inaugural. Hopefully she can transition by that time.
KATT WILLIAMS ARRESTED!!!!
Katt Willams was supposed to be doing a show at Carnagie Hall, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. I got word last night from a very reliable source that Katt was arrested last night on felony gun charges. Not only the comedian. About five other people from his camp where also arrested including his security, from what I am getting. Believe it or not, I am hearing that, Katt was at Jim Jones' studio when it all took place, and they called the dog out on him literally. I don’t know if he is going to get out in time for his highly anticipated show. From what I hear, they called Bomb Squad, extra units, narcotics and whatever on the man. I don’t know what he did to constitute all that. There was a swarm of armed uniformed officers, sources say. I wonder what Jim did?

Publicity Stunt, LLC got slapped with a cease and desist from the good people at Neilson Soundscan. $300,000.00 is a lot of cake! They were sending the industry the weekly Sounscan reports and it seems somebody snitched! Here is the letter!

It's being reported that the GOP is sending a lawyer to Alaska to catalogue and retrieve the $150,000 worth of clothing Palin bought during her short contribution to the McCain ticket. The Republican Party has suggested that much of the clothing was purchased on the personal credit cards of campaign staffers. Oh and someone else from the GOP said Palin didn't realize Africa was a continent. She thought it was a country with two separate sides; Africa and South Africa. The GOP even suggested Mrs. Palin couldn't name the countries that comprised North America. Then there was talk about her greeting the staffers one morning in her hotel room wearing nothing but a towel. I'm thinking the Repubs are going to donate Palin to the Scapegoat Hall of Shame. Maybe that was her purpose from jump.

There will be a public memorial for Shakir Stewart on today at Kings Chapel on the campus of Morehouse College. For anyone in Atlanta who would like to attend, the service starts at 3pm. However, the school is requesting you try to get there an hour early. The family has also requested donations to the Stewart children in lieu of flowers via The Shakir Stewart Memorial Fund.
Well folks…. Fridays seem to creep around, but the weekend is gone in a blink. There is much to grieve, but more to celebrate. Find the balance and I'll catch ya next week.

Hip-Hop doesn’t mean we all agree. Some of my readers are LIVID that Obama is the president. I remember feeling that way a few years ago when Bush stole the election. Four years later we have redemption in the form of progression! So, I wanted you to know that Obama has already made plans to meeting with leaders of” business, government and academia.” This meeting will include Delaware’s own Vice President-elect Joe Biden, former Cabinet officials, executives from Xerox Corp., Time Warner Inc., Google Inc. and the Hyatt hotel company. Investor Warren Buffett (yeah, that super richest dude guy) will also help solve America’s woes. All you haters, look at McCain’s economic strategy and hollerate. We don’t have to agree, but we have to do better.
