DISCLAIMER:

All content within this section is pure rumor and generally have no factual info outside of what the streets have whispered in our ear. Read on.

THEY ARE COMING: 50 CENT, EMINEM and DR. DRE....

Sha Money XL would know about the "Three Headed Monster"...:

"All I gotta say is,who said Hiphop is dead?or do you wanna kill ya self? Either way, your dead! You can "Self Destruct" now or" Detox" later, either way your gonna feel "The Empack". The monster is coming, drop your lp's right now,2009 will not be your year. There coming... This is for the fans, the streets, the clubs, the east, the west, the south, the blogs the whole HIPHOP World!!" probably will be a good blast off for his blog, probably why he put this up to get the hype going...

NO BEEF: JEEZY AND DJ DRAMA…OR IS THERE?

I'm happy to deliver good news as I delivered some possible beef. First of all, shout out to my dude Tino Cochino over there at Power 106 in San Antonio. He had DJ Drama on his show last night and Dram made it clear that there is no beef between him and Jeezy. There is always a flip side, right? I heard Drama's artist Willie The Kid also had a birthday party there. During the birthday gala, I heard Drama said something to the affect of "I made that s**t hot" when songs from Jeezy's first CD came on. I heard there were several other suspect comments. Remember, these guys go way back to "You Can't Ban The Snowman" and "Trap or Die" back in the day on the mixtape circuit. LOL. On the funny side, I heard 40 Glocc was there and, when Lil Wayne's "Let The Beat Build" came on, Dram said, "He's cool 40 Glocc - don't hurt him."

AMY WINEHOUSE DEAD FROM OVERDOSE?

Somebody hit me up and told me that they heard Amy Winehouse had died from an overdose of drugs. Since I am a fan, I suppose they thought I would know. Tragic news like that travels quickly so I am sure this isn’t true. One thing that is true is Amy Winehouse is accused of striking a woman in the face. The woman was a dancer that simply wanted a picture. She says that Amy punched her in the eye and then AMY ran off crying. Wow. She said Amy made a suicidal statement like, “Life cannot go on.” Amy can expect to get a visit from the cops any day now. This all reportedly happened at ACL (Austin City Limits).

ERYKAH BADU….BABY!

The iconic R&B high priestess Erykah Badu recently performed at the ACL, I heard. She was about 7 months pregnant, I heard, and still doing her thing. She did great. I heard she gave America a shout out for giving a chance of having a Black President and the majority White crowd went nuts. But Austin is a very liberal area. ACL was very Pro-Obama, my boy Jorge tells me. Shout out to the ever-bad Badu.

AUSTRIA ON ALICIA: SHE'S DATING ONE OF US

What? Alicia Keys in love with an Austrian? This might be the biggest case of "you need more people" in the history of rumors. Either that or Swizz Beatz is about to be sick with worry. The press in Austria is claiming that Alicia Keys is dating an Austria business man. The rumor is Ms. Keys is dating Gernot Friedhuber, CEO of the Grace Group. The relationship has only lasted for about three weeks, but the Austrian Times is saying they are already hot-n-heavy like the Weather Girls. They reportedly spent some serious quality time in Miami, where she is reportedly recording a new album. Gernot is supposedly there promoting an energy drink. Neither person has commented on it, but folks nearby say they have had their food delivered to their room. Now, is this a case of "you need more people" or "Swizz Beatz is going to kill an Austrian in Miami in a fit of love rage?"

SEAN KINGSTON CRIED LIKE A BABY - I WOULD TOO!

Sean Kingston cried, I heard. I heard he was crying like a baby when somebody stole $500,000 worth of his jewelry. Right now the police have been pulled in to the matter and is searching for the ice. Some idiot thought it was a good idea to send that much bling to the star through FED EX. Wow. How dumb can you be? The items arrived to Sean - in an empty box. She had only insured the jewelry up to $500. WOW...I would cry too. I just hope he's not suicidal like he got over those beautiful girls.

ILLSEED'S QUICKIES

Babyface has dropped another baby with his new wife had another child. The kid is named Peyton Nicole Edmonds. Shout out to The Hip-Hop Chronicle!

I don't think Shyne is getting out this year, but I'm hearing his is going to have a CD called Godfather: Exhumed in the near future.

I heard Redman and Meth are still talking that Blackout and How High stuff. They better take some tips from Heltah Skeltah and DO IT. Ruck and Rock are reppin’ the 90’s in action!

Russ Parr has reportedly gotten fired from Radio One. Russ is a big dog in the syndicated radio game. Didn’t he do Bobby Jimmy and the Critters?

Soulja Boy reportedly wants to go to college to learn how to make video games. Good for him. I’m sure Ice-T is pleased.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

Check out this story from the AP. I'm telling you. These kids are crazy!

FOUNTAIN (AP) -- A Colorado teenager hired men to kill his mother so he could use her money to get breast implants for his girlfriend, police said.

Nikita Lee Weis, 18, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, said Fountain Deputy Police Chief Mike Barnett.

His girlfriend, Sophia Nicole Alsept, and two men police said he hired, Juan Antonio Velez Gonzalez, 18, and Brandon Michael Soroka, 19, were arrested on the same charge.

Weis' mother, Hyun Weis, was attacked Thursday with a small wooden baseball bat at her home but escaped, authorities said. She was released Friday from a hospital.

Barnett said Weis wanted to sell his mother's car and use money in her bank accounts to pay for breast implants for Alsept, 21.

Barnett also said the suspects discussed wrapping Hyun Weis' body in plastic and dumping it in the desert in New Mexico or Arizona.

All were being held on $50,000 bail. Officials did not know whether they had attorneys and said they couldn't get messages to them.

Fountain is about 10 miles south of Colorado Springs.

SHELZ TALKS T.I. AND THE WORLD SERIES OF HIP-HOP

The ABC's of TI

Even at this juncture of his career, he's still being made to prove his worthiness. Some think he's over-hyped and over-rated. I guess that is a question of taste, but you can't say that dude doesn't have his ducks in a row.

World Series of Hip Hop….The Abridged Version

Ya know, I actually sat and watched all three hours of this on Sunday morning. Monie Love was hosting and the dudes from Smack DVD were running interference for security as they tried to nab the folks with the i-phones attempting to tape the event. Ki-lo-lo and company showed up to be ring card girls and there were some performances from artists I, nor anyone else, had ever heard of before. DJ Whoo Kid was a no show.

As far as the battles were concerned, the only two that really held my attention were Rece Stelle vs. Lady Luck and Mysonne vs. Elliott Ness. The femcee battle had us watching the crowd booing the hell out of Rece as she began to disintegrate on stage. I really didn't know why they were disrespecting Miss Rap Supreme. It seemed contrived, but that's the nature of the battle beast. Her frustration led to her getting a lil tight near the end and inviting Lady Luck outside. But Lady Luck was on some ole Sunday driver ish... She stayed in her lane and kept it slow, steady and straight. She even told them sniccas in there to hold it down so Rece could kick her bars. Anyway, the outside invite was declined, but the security dudes still had to step in to keep the peace. Rece takes an L for this.

The last battle was Bang Bang Boogie's Mysonne against Bad Boy Elliott Ness. This battle was more entertaining than the other three put together. Mysonne's first three minutes were arguably the highlight of the entire event, but he fell off after that. After he spit his third round, he swore up and down his contract said five rounds, even though everybody else had three. I'm thinking he was trying to spit two more because he knew Ness was getting the best of him. So they went with five, but it still didn't help Mysonne. Ness was the most consistent and takes the W in my opinion. Philly could finally put their P's up.

The other two were T-Rex vs. Tech Nine and Murda Mook vs. Young Hot. Neither battle was all that interesting, probably because I didn't feel that match-ups. Philly takes L's on both of these. That would be Tech Nine and Young Hot going home with their tales between their legs as I saw it, giving Murda Mook and his side-kick Mr. Rex wins. Official voting closes next weekend, though. That's when we find out what everybody else thinks and who walks away with the cash.

OBAMA WAS RIGHT AND MCCAIN WAS WRONG

During the debate, there was a bunch of jibber jabber about Barack telling John McCain being "right." See below and see who REALLY was right and wrong.

EPIC FAIL OF THE DAY!

Morning Ahh La Familia!!1 Happy Monday : / ...I dont know bout yall but Im hella sleepy, Im sittin at my desk eating some frosted flakes.....

-I refuse to feed into the Detox hype, I'll believe it when I start seeing some promotions for tha album......

-smh @ Illseed, why is it everyday someone new is beefin with Jay Z?!? Are you making this stuff up?!?

-lmao @ the Amy Winehouse rumor, well in a way it aint funny because she needs help but in a way it is because people are just speeding her death up for her......it's funny because she knows she needs help and refuses to, in a way I feel sorry for her and in a way I feel like no one should throw her a pity party because she's a grown ass woman that knows she needs to leave that shit alone.
*shrugs shoulders and continues to laugh outloud*

- dang I forgot Erykah was pregnant again...wonder what she's gonna name this one.

- @ Alicia Keys dating an Austrian, I knew some shit like this was coming, yea right, this is just an attempt to cover up the rumor regarding her and Swizz...I aint buying that at all.

- lmao @ Sean Kingston crying, I heard HE was the one who requested the jewelry to be sent via Fed Ex, he had his lil sis do it...that was stupid on his part, instead of crying like a bitch he should be kickin his own ass.....

-congrats to Babyface on the new little one....

.:sigh:. @ Shyne not coming home anytime soon, I remember dreaming bout his ass, man I wonder is he still sexy?!?

- I would love for Redman and MethodMan to make a sequel to How High, it should be called "How High 2- I'm Loaded"

- smh @ signs the world is coming to an end...something bad is going to happen to all those involved in that incident....if the little flat chested bitch wanted bigger boobs she shoulda bought a wonderbra......

Rumors were a little dry but, I happen to have a few : )

I heard Superhead was preggers by Bow Wow, she is saying she is on her blog and her latest protege, or victim, has been Bow Wizzle, don't ask me what happened to him and Angela Simmons but whatever, aint her son almost the same age as him?!? This

September 29, 2008. Bow Wow may have a pup on the way. MediaFakeOut.com's snitches informed us that Karrine "Superhead" Steffans has a new video on her site which suggests that she's pregnant.

You gotta give it to this chick. Everytime we try to leave her and her drama behind ... she keeps dragging us back in it....

This bitch loves attention!!!!!!

But anway, That Jimmy Dean customer call had me rollin. Dude was pissed bout sausage. But why don't he jus buy Bob Evans instead, is it that much different, dude must have a helluva palate for pork to taste the difference. Did ya'll peep how he said they make breakfast with a couple dozen fried eggs sausage and T-Bone steaks, GAWDAMN, he wasn't bullshitin he wanna eat.

Mysonne was spittin in his round, wish there was more footage curious to see what Ness had to say in first round.

And the Sean Kingston thing, that shit don't sound right, i mean how the hell u send off for 500 racks of jewels and they insure it for 500 dollars? And they already got paid? Me and the Jeweler would be havin a serious talk bout my cash, seem like he got jacked by the jeweler to me, but if u got that bread don't u wanna jus fly there and pick yo shit up, dumb on his part, but i guess the jeweler figured, fuck it it's Sean Kingston, I'mma Yung Berg dis nigga, what he gon do. He better round him up a goon squad and get to the bottom of that shit, or else it looks like he assed out.

By the way, can someone point yo boy in the right direction on what i'm suppose to do to be able to respond to posts on the IC, cause right now all i can do is read it, which is cool, but damn a nigga do wanna put his 2cents in too. Good lookin.

lol @ dre, 50, and em - they give love to the weat, east, south, and said fuck the north? lol

@sean kingston - when will these idiots learn. its pointless to own all that platinum. they need to learn to invest into land. i would respect a hip hop artist a whole lot more if he had more land than ted turner than more ice than mr-t. once you own land you can do whatever the fuck you want to. with ice your shit will get jacked by some hungry goon.

shit you can even build you a neverland and own a pet monkey........................................

@Rumors - Alicia...you still fine.  That whole battle rap...them vidz are actually boring.  Em/Dre/50 - I think 50's not getting as much hype because he's the only one out of THAT camp dropping anything.  Where IS Em?  And how the hell does Dre even continue to survive making music only once every 8 or 9 years?

MY HOMEBOY SENT ME THIS

CALL YOUR CONGRESSMAN!!!!

I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.

Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in
a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.

So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.

That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.

A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.

00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it’ll be there
Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car – create jobs
Invest in the market – capital drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.

If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it...instead of trickling out
a puny $1000.00 ( “vote buy” ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it.

Sell off its parts.

Let American General go back to being American General.

Sell off the real estate.

Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn’t.

Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC .

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.

5 Billion is returned
instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

Kindest personal regards,
Birk
T. J. Birkenmeier, A U.S.

Citizen

PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it’s either good for a laugh

or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!! Someone needs to get this into the right hands instead of just dreaming about it-Let's Git-R-Done!!!!!

DO THEY SEE JESUS WHEN THEY SEE YOU?
Body:  By: PASTOR SARAH UTTERBACH

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

(Acts 1:8, KJV)

That means anywhere and every place I go, Jesus' reflection should be seen in and on me. I can vaguely remember the Sarah that existed before I received the Holy Ghost.

I have always known of what Jesus could do, but because of my own deficiency I never told anyone. Once the Holy Ghost took over my life, I became a walking epistle. Everyone who knew me could see I was different. Sure, I would tell of what Jesus could do, but without one word, my family and friends could see a sermon as I demonstrated the change in my life.

Anyone who is a believer can tell about the activities of Jesus on behalf of others. But He said the Holy Ghost had the power to make us like Him. People will come to Christ faster when they can see you live your sermon than when you preach one. Until we become the message, others will not be convinced of Him.

The best salesman in the world is the one who uses what he sells. When we become the fruit of His Spirit, people will know the kind of tree we come from. Do they see Jesus when they see you? They should. The Holy Ghost's power makes it possible.

Forgive Us Our Debts As We Forgive Our Debtors(dEV)
Body:  Good morning! Here's the daily devotional for 9/29/2008 from the book, "Called to Conquer" by Eddie L Long.

Again, these can be found daily at www. newbirth.
org however, I encourage you to purchased the book from the same website!

Forgive Us Our Debts As We Forgive Our Debtors

Today’s Scripture Reading: Leviticus 25; Matthew 6:9–15
Key Verse: Leviticus 25:10
(You shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

)

If you still do not believe that being blessed to be a blessing is God’s idea, then you should look closely at the God-ordained year of Jubilee in the Bible. It was a time in the Israelite cycle of years when people, land, and finances returned to their original places. As believers redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, we enjoy an unbroken state of grace in Jesus.

As in the Jubilee in days of old, not only are we released and restored, but we are also required to release and restore others!

The Jubilee was a time to restore property lost through debts or tragedy. It was a time to put back together all the families separated through slavery or economic hardship. It was a season for family members to help less fortunate family members get back on their feet again. It marked the time when all debts were canceled. We live in that season permanently through the finished work of Jesus Christ. The Lord even talked about forgiving debtors when He taught His disciples how to pray! (See Matt. 6:12.

)

When God challenged me on this requirement that I forgive my debtors, it was a hard pill to swallow. I did it anyway—to the tune of $86,000. People owed me the money, but I knew I had heard the Lord, so I canceled their debts.

When I challenged my congregation to do the same, they responded in an incredible way. When we forgave those debts, God released such a spirit of Jubilee among us that everything broke loose.

We became even greater blessing to those around us!

Let me challenge you to step into a higher level of receiving and being a blessing. Begin by canceling the debts others owe you. It will release a whole new level of freedom, blessing, and anointing in your life because God takes notice when we step out by faith to obey Him and put His Word into practice.

Pray with me right now:

Today's Prayer:
Holy Father, I thank You for sending Jesus to be our eternal Jubilee. I want to walk in total freedom in my life, my worship, and my ministry to others. As a first step, by faith I forgive, cancel, and release all the debts owed to me by others. As I release them, I celebrate my release into new levels of blessing and being a blessing. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

MISSDOPE I KNOW YOU GONE DIG THIS

SCRIPTURE OF MEDITATION

NEW INTERNATIONAL TRANSLATION:
1I hope you will put up with a little of my foolishness; but you are already doing that. 2I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. 3But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. 5But I do not think I am in the least inferior to those "super-apostles." 6I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge. We have made this perfectly clear to you in every way. 7Was it a sin for me to lower myself in order to elevate you by preaching the gospel of God to you free of charge? 8I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you. 9And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so. 10As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine. 11Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do! 12And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Im back with more rumors:
Word round tha net is Jermaine Dupri got sick over the weekend and threw up on Janet, ugh, here's the scoop:

September 29, 2008. MediaFakeOut just caught wind of this nasty rumor being told by the NY Post. Here it is:

JERMAINE Dupri had a little too much of a good time celebrating his 36th birthday. The other night, Dupri and his squeeze, Janet Jackson, went to Tenjune, where, spies say, they shared bottles of Jay-Z's Ace of Spades Champagne and Patrón tequila with Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes and Ice-T - until Dupri "vomited in Janet's lap. Ms. Jackson bolted out of the scene and sped off in her chauffeured Maybach."

.........lmao, I am not suprised, he looks like someone who can't hold their liquor!!!

Moving right along to VH1 drama!!!
I heard Real and Chance jumped Heat during the I Loev Money Reunion Show, lmao, like more details??!? Here ya go......

September 29, 2008. Saturday was the reunion from VH1's hit show I Love Money and we're hearing it was a mess!! According to one of MediaFakeOut snitches, Real, Chance and their brother Love got into it with Heta and things got ugly.

The insider explained to MediaFakeOut, "After the taping was over and everyone was standing around, [Heat] started arguing with Chance ... Heat wasn't afraid of [the brothers] so he kept talking [EXPLETIVE] to them. All three of them beat [Heat's] azz. They punched him kicked him and then stomped him out.

......smh, I know this was all behind Hoopz, can you believe Real asking her to marry him, if Im not mistaking she had a man before she went on the show, I wonder what he thinks of all this madness??

stay tuned yall, there's more to come!
and remember, yall heard it 1st from me, ya girl Miss D!

It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

)

(See Matt. 6:12.

)

September 29, 2008 1:15 PM
--------------------------------------------------
Amen.
Thank you for that. : )

Here are some of the things that I took in from just debating with a few people....

Tax the Rich ($250,000+):

*So, the purpose is to tax people who work hard for their money.  Not saying that there aren't people who "take advantage" of their positions (some of these CEO's and what not), but what about the people who work HARD for that $250,000+, including married couples?  If you are on here and you make $250,000, and you are going to be taxed MORE, are you really for it?

*Tax the rich to help the middle class.  Not saying we don't need to do SOMETHING to help the middle class, but it can't be at the expense of the people who provide jobs to people.  Think about this one too...

You tax the people who make $250,000+ more money (most of these people are people who OWN businesses in some form or fashion...businesses that provide JOBS to Americans).  By taxing them MORE, they can't afford to stay in business, and if they do, the only way to pay for that difference is to CUT some of the jobs of the people who work for them.  Now unemployment goes up, because salaries are the HIGHEST expense for most companies.  So, by taxing higher, we find the economy in a worse situation (in regards to unemployment/jobs/etc...)

*The Bailout.  The fear Republicans have of the bailout is that the Government is going to be MORE involved with the daily lives and interests of the American people.  I don't think we totally take into account how important that bill is, and how they handle it.  I'm not a home owner as of TODAY, but I have bought owned property in the past, and you would be somewhat nervous with how Fannie May and Freddie Mac has played out.  Throw the banks in there, and it really makes you nervous (Government having their hands in all of our major institutions for money?  Ouch...)

That's just a few of them...

I'm still not big on this war and all, but I even listened to the enemy (Oliver North was a guest speakers at a Convention I went too), and he shot out some statistics on the War that we don't ever see.  How currently there are 2.5 million people in the armed forces today (which is less than 1% of the population) compared to 16.5 million in WWII (I forget the % of population, but obviously MUCH higher).  Spoke about how people in the military who re-enlist is at an all time high (like 117% or something like that), basically saying that the people who are fighting in THIS particular war do so because they WANT too.

Again, I'm not one to fall for stats too much, because we can bend them how we want, but I did feel what they said about that tax increase (which is one of Obama's main platform initiatives).

Anybody have President Bush's e-mail address?

^^^^^^^^^
I like this, but I don't know that the American People would know what to do with that money.  Not correctly anyhow.  WE as an economy spend MORE than we make TODAY...I don't know that giving away all that money would help.  Would I personally like and enjoy what I could do with that money?  Hell yeah...but do I think everybody would be able to be responsible with that money???  Not really....case in point..

Look up the statistics on people who win the lottery and end up being broke...again, "stats" right...but dayum.  It happens too often.

I guess I just feel if you were broke and didn't know how to handle money when you made $50K or $60K, then how are you gonna handle $200K or whatever?

Again, I'm not against what's up there...but I don't know if we would know what to do with it...not the majority of us....

Hello AHH

I have a question. Earlier I was skimming through the Huffington Post and noticed a blog by Patt Morrison titled Here's My "October Surprise" Prediction--What's Yours?

I found the blog to be very interesting because it talked about how there is a new "surprise" (or gimmick) sprung on us from the McCain camp every month. We had the Sarah Palin surprise in August, and in September McCain attempted to suspend his campaign to rush back to D.C. to handle the financial crisis (by the way, it did not pass). Everyone is wondering what the gimmick will be in October. Here are a few predictions:

1.We will bomb Iran

2.McCain will wise up and drop Sarah Palin

3.Sarah Palin will offer to resign in order to spend more time with her family

4.The McCain camp will try to suspend the election

5.Palin's son will be taken hostage in Iraq and the American people will feel sorry enough to vote for McCain/Palin

6.Bush will capture Osama bin Laden and give McCain all the credit

The Bush Administration had a few gimmicks of their own in 2004. Does anyone remember the gas prices dropping right before the election or the increase in videos from terrorist (I think that Bush is making those in the White House basement by the way). The bottom line is the Republicans always have a stunt set up for us right before every election. It's really hypocritical because they claim to be Christians, but they don't have enough faith in themselves to win without the circus act. It's like how 50 Cent always starts a beef with someone right before every album drops due to his insecurities about his talent.

Anyway, at first my "October Surprise" prediction was that Sarah Palin would "bow-out" of the race in order to spend more time with her family (even though we would all know the truth). But then I remembered that the early voting process has already begun. I don't know the rules in that situation as to whether the McCain/Palin votes would count, so I'm still thinking about my prediction...but I would like to hear if AHH has any predictions.

Kapp I hate to point this out .. but the Giants are 3-0 while them cowgirls Took a lost... so they 3-1... in the standings The Giant's, Titans, and bills are all 1 up on them.... Giant's are my favorite team so see you week 9

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Exactly...we'll see week 9:)

And that's your squad, so I give you credit for that.  But, let's say, Vikes (don't you like them Boss?) or the Browns (come on Taylor Made:)

Rude...you just rude with it, but it's all good....it's still EARLY in the season.  Let's see how it looks week 9....sun gotta shine on a dog's ass some days, right?

i think what Obama is really gettin at are those folks in this country that have wealth that can last them a century...and i don't kno one person who isn't a musician or actor thats worked hard for that kind of money...them people with old money stole it

^^^^^^^^^^Yo, BossUp, that's BROKE MENTALITY bruh!?  Since when is/was it cool to tax someone JUST because they can "afford" to pay more than someone else?  If anything, I would be game for a FLAT TAX than to sit there and say someone who makes MORE should pay a higher percent.  That just sounds ignorant to me.  You work hard to make more money, and since you do, you should be punished?

Since when do we punish folks for being successful?  That's ass backwards?  That's like PROMOTING people to stay poor?  Broke mentality 101 if I have ever heard of it...

And I know a TON of people who have worked HARD to build that kind of money.  I personally know at least 50 people who have built that kind of income in their lives, and they didn't come from "old money"...

Here's a scenario for you Boss...

At some point you die and you happen to be worth, say, $200 million.  You leave that money to your children, or your grand-children, but the government says hold up...you need to give us about 50-55% of that money BEFORE the kids/grandkids even touch it.

You think that's fair?  That you worked your azz off (whether physically or financially smart) to create a legacy for your family, and the gov. takes more than half of it???

I don't see any justification in that...

Ay Boss and whoever else feels that $250K tax is okay...

I'm not, I repeat NOT for McCain.  I believe McCain is NOT in touch with the people of America, and even more so, he's not fiscally capable of leading our country.  Let's not even talk about the war we are in....

But, I cannot say I am 100% comfortable with what Obama wants to do with that tax.

I'll keep it this simple...if that $250K tax goes through, do ya'll really think the CEO's are gonna stop having money and everything they do?  What's going to happen is more small businesses are going to go under, which is going to increase unemployment.  For those who do find jobs, they'll probably be working for minimum wage for companies that are funded by THE GOVERNMENT, which is going to put most of America under the governance of ONE nation...

Just...whew....scary....

I don't know when it became cool to think the government can take care of you, but it's not the business...yes, there are exceptions, but as a whole, you don't want to find yourself depending on the govt. to take care of you.  That's how you find yourself living in dire circumstances...

Anybody have President Bush's e-mail address
------------------------------------------------------------

$297,500 per person...$595,000 for my husband & I, talk about being able to feed the economy. This would put the economy on swoll...

Nah playboy, I don't make $250,000....YET.  But this is the kind of talk right here that keeps our people down...

"u must make over $250,000 becuz u sound mad...it ain't hurtin u partna so who cares"

It ain't hurtin' you partna, so who cares?  What kind of talk is that?  I don't know how much you make, but do you plan on living a meaningful life full of financial freedom and happiness?  Don't you plan on making more than $250K in a year?  Better yet, are you going to get married?  It's not about the money, it's about the LIFESTYLE.  What if you didn't have to wake up to an alarm clock?  What if you could donate a ton of money for scholarships and outreach programs for your people?  You asked about those people I know that make that money...YEAH, THEY DO ACTUALLY HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE.  THEY HAVE SET UP MINISTRIES FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE BEEN BATTERED.  THEY HAVE CREATED MINISTRIES FOR INNER CITY CHILDREN...BLACK, WHITE, LATINO, ASIAN, ETC...AND THEY ARE WHITE PEOPLE.  LOL.  More than what you or I do at that...

You can't do that if you don't MAKE money homey.  Think about it...

People say people with money ONLY think about money.  I've come to learn it's actually THE OPPOSITE.  My "broke mentality" friends do stuff like...drive around to find the best gas.  Or buy really cheap shoes/clothing to save, but in reality, find themselves buying MORE cheap sh*t than if they just paid for good quality.  Or they spend money on jewelry and rims rather than investing it.  But then complain about how they don't have money, and how the government is really f*ckin' up...

Or how about when it comes to vacation?  Wouldn't you want your future wife to be treated to whatever she wants...not have it be based on the fact that you can't afford to do it?

It seems from what I have learned in life is that broke people focus on money (or lack of it) more than those with it.

Think about it bruh...

And if you are making $50 million, you are paying MORE than $3 million in taxes.  Based on Obama's plan, you would be paying a helluva lot more than $10 million too...

I get the feeling you feel this way because YOU don't make $250K or more...but when you do, something tells me you will change your stance, because then it will be coming out of YOUR pocket, and then that makes it somehow "different".  Don't think about where you are TODAY homey...think about where you can be years from now...

^^^^^^^^^^

Yo, Boss, you are focused on these CEO's more than you are with what will happen with that $250K plus bracket.  That bracket is NOT just for CEO's of corporations...it's for ANYBODY making more than $250K plus a year.  Take people who do real estate as a way to make money...

Currently, people pay about 15% on capital gains taxes in America...that would hike up to about 28%.  That's almost DOUBLE what they pay now.  And think about how many real estate people you know...

Better yet, let's just keep it SIMPLE...

We should congratulate and promote people into staying poor, or even promote people to only make UP TO $250K, but then punish people who had the ability to go and make more money???

You don't see where that sounds like broke mentality?  Paying 40% in taxes?  You realize under Obama's plan, someone making $250K will only pocket about $150K of that AFTER taxes, right?  That doesn't take into account taxes on food, bills, mortgages, etc...

I don't get the thought process in that?  I earn more money so I should pay a higher percent?  How about I pay 15%, you pay 15%, and we are all taxed on what we contribute to the economy?  This way, if you make $50K, you give the govt. $7,500, and if you make $250K, you give the govt. $37,500.

I think that's fair, but I can't say it's fair to punish people for being successful...

$85 billion divided by $200 million isn't 425,000 per person...it's $425 per person. I know in a lot of other countries a billion is more than it is here in the US (most places overseas they use a long-scale version where a billion is equal to a million millions whereas in the US we use the short scale version that is only equal to one thousand millions). I was suprised to see the math wrong on that because whoever typed that up had the US version of $85 billion written out correctly with 9 zeroes, but they did the math using the other version of a billion with 12 zeroes.

For BossUp AND Hemi....Check it out...

Obama’s plan to raise taxes on households making more than $250,000 will raise taxes on most small-business profits in America.

What type of tax rate are we talking about? Currently, S corporations face a top tax rate of 35 percent, while sole proprietors and general partners face a tax rate of 37.9 percent (since they’re responsible for paying both income tax and the Medicare component of the payroll tax).

Under Obama’s plan to let the scheduled 2011 tax rate hikes occur, and his plan to raise the self-employment tax on those making more than $250,000, the S corporation rate would rise from 35 percent to 39.6 percent. The sole proprietor and partner rate would rise from 37.9 percent all the way up to a staggering 50.3 percent. Many Democrats in Congress have proposed making all small businesses (including S corporations) pay this 50-plus percent rate. A small business tax rate that high would be the highest marginal rate faced by them in nearly a quarter-century.

What would a world look like where two-thirds of all small-business income would be taxed at a 50 percent rate? The economic law that “taxing something more and getting less of it” would apply. Fewer Americans would be interested in opening or expanding small businesses. Tax evasion and legal tax avoidance would spike, as tax shelters would once again become a booming industry. Since small businesses create a majority of jobs in America, Main Street closing up shop will have a direct impact on the family budget, as well. Plants and equipment will go unused. Despite the misguided opinions of static scorers in Washington, federal tax revenues will likely decline as the economy staggers into a full-on recession.

Without a doubt, we are already going through a recession, regardless of how they want to word it (depression, recession, etc....)

I'm not saying Barack isn't on point with most of his plan, but when you tax the same people who create a ton of jobs in America, you are putting a burden on people who supply the very income that helps an economy thrive...for example...

BossUp, a study of California showed Small businesses provided all the net job growth in California over a 12-year period, according to a new study from UCI economics professor David Neumark.

So even people who need JOBS might want to reconsider that thought process...

Check this link to read more about SMall Businesses and JOBS

As far as a comparison of Barack and McCain's tax plans, check out this analysis that an independent organization did that was featured on CNN.  I'm still trying to find another clip I saw where it was stated that Barack's plan would only increase taxes by $12 for those making 250k. That sounded really low to me which is why I was trying to find the source they used again, but here's the CNN one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9fbxpMw4mco

*I don't care for Obama OR McCain's tax plans.  I do believe Obama is more concerned w/the economy and the war at hand, and I believe Obama will have a better hand on the economy.

*I believe Obama is more adept at speaking and dealing with foreign countries.

But here is what I DON'T believe about Brother Barack Obama.  I don't believe he really thinks his tax plan will/would work.  I believe he has put that plan out there because he knows he can touch MORE of the American people if he tells them what they want to hear.  How many Americans make MORE than $250K/year?  Less than 2% of American Households make that much money, so if you can find a way to get 98% of the voters to take this into account, it should play out in your favor.  Keeping in mind you still have to deal with the War, fiscal policy, foreign policy, etc, etc, it's not "money in the bank"...but it does help.

Remember the first Bush who went into office?  His slogan was "no new taxes"....and then he hit the US people with MORE taxes.  I feel Obama is pushing for a plan that will NOT come to fruition because those in Washington won't vote to tax themselves MORE money.  But I don't think he personally feels his plan would even happen.  I believe he is playing chess, and he's doing a dayum good job, but I don't think in his heart he even remotely thinks he's going to be taxing people making $250K MORE money...

And I also think if you are out there and you don't aspire to want MORE in life, then you are a sucka.  You should aspire for MORE than $250K in life...and you should care about how/what policies go in affect NOW, because they will definitely affect YOU in the future, assuming your business mind is right.

I think Obama is a genious for focusing on that tax plan, because he already has the MAJORITY clamoring FOR him due to the fact most people don't make that kind of money....

but don't forget...taxing the people who provide JOBS to the public can ultimately lead to less JOBS FOR the public...

Now she did say that you have a lot of "Gung-Ho" and "Trigger-Happy" white boys and some blacks who absolutely live for that shit...they will probably re-enlist until they leave this earth. She said that you also have many young people who stay in the military as a way of staying out of trouble. Plus you have people who are just doing it for the money...I know my cousin got a bonus of about 100k plus they paid for her schooling so you have to factor that kind of stuff in. I did read somewhere that the troops have contributed more to the Obama campaign than MKKKain, so that right there tells you something.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It's crazy to hear you talk about money BossUp, because I typically can agree and respect your opinion when we discussing hip-hop or what not.  But your views really take me back to broke mentality 101...

Take the bum as an example...I'm not giving that bum a f*ckin' dime.  He's a bum.  I don't know WHAT happened to get him to where he is, but I do know this...I'm not gonna give him $ so he can go and buy liquor, or some weed or some sh*t.  What I will do is take him to get a good meal.  Maybe I will get some clothes from the crib and leave them with him so he can have some clothes to change into.  But I'm not gonna ENABLE him by giving him money so he can waste it on whatever vice he uses to get by that is not gonna get him from in front of that store/corner/etc...

For those that are less fortunate...Yeah, I sympathize with them, but only to a degree.  If I haven't learned ANYTHING in life, I at least know this...

WE ARE THE SOLE AUTHOR OF OUR PLIGHT IN LIFE!

We have got to stop being so ignorant as to think we are OWED anything in life.  We continue to blame sh*t on everybody but ourselves...and I'm talking about PEOPLE...not just black or anything.  I'm talking about PEOPLE in general.  F*ck a handout.

And your statement

"rich folks is greedy...its evident in history that those with more don't help those with less...stop stickin up for em"

You realize how dumbed down that sounds?  That sounds like someone plugged into the Matrix, being made to believe you don't deserve MORE than what you get in life!?

People are GREEDY.  PERIOD.

Has NOTHING to do with your income.  You can be worth BILLIONS, or you can be worth a couple a hundred.  It's not the money you have...it's what you DO with that money.  Period.

That's just like when family would say stuff like "money is the root of evil"....lol...seriously?  I would say LACK of money can be.  How many niccahs is locked up because they had to find a way to put food on the table, so they started slanging?  Or robbin'?  Or killin?  Man, f*ck that.  There's NOTHING wrong with having money...it's all about what you do with it.

The question isn't the money...it's what you do with the money that defines who you are.

Check it out...

Oprah Winfrey - Donates $5 million AGAIN to Morehouse University.  Donated $10 million to people affected by Katrina

Bill Gates/Warren Buffet - The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (B&MGF) is the largest transparently operated[2] private foundation in the world, founded by Bill and Melinda Gates in 2000 and doubled in size by Warren Buffett in 2006. The primary aims of the foundation are, globally, to enhance healthcare and reduce extreme poverty, and, in the United States, to expand educational opportunities and access to information technology.

Man, I could go on and on with what the "wealthy" are doing with some of their money...but I digress...

It all goes back to what I said before...

Since when is it cool to punish those who make money?  Who create jobs?  Who generate wealth?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I don't doubt it...not at all.  I believe the numbers can be skewed simply because people who are staying IN the military are doing so for TWO main reasons...MONEY, and THE ECONOMY.  The military will pay for school and throw a chunk of change at you...and in doing so, you have to STAY in, which is kinda like being pimped:)

The reason people are wanting to vote for Obama is because they know they can get those funds AND hopefully not have to be put in harm's way to do so...and I don't blame them.  But I tell you what else...

All those "perks" will stop when they no longer need them to be in Iraq/Afghanistan and so forth:)

Just watch....

I have a ton of family in the military, and they can't stand Bush or McCain's azz.  They're only in the military right now because the economy is f*cked up, money is tight, and you get mad breaks by being in the military.  But that says just how jacked up our economy is when people would rather risk their lives than take their chances in this economy...

===================================
Hey Kapp.
Keep in mind he didn't say no taxes at all. He said, "folks who make less then 250K per year will not see a tax increase."
The economic plan he has will work. It's been tested already. With Bill Clinton. Obama's economic team consist of 4 from the Clinton admin. He's going to increase taxes of people over $250K. The plan isn't hard on incomes over 250K. My stepdad voted for and supported Democrats because it's better economically when the middle class can spend money. You make more and yes the upper incomes pay more taxes but the upper 5% aren't struggling. The republicans say no new taxes but we know that's not true. However with the republicans in the White House and controlling congress, they tax all incomes the same, which is raising them to even, thus raising taxes on the middle class. Then middle class pinch pennies because Fica and all them fools are eating up their paycheck.
The Bailout that the Dems presented, I knew wouldn't go through. The republican base aren't going cut out their lobbyist from their golden parachutes. See, even my step fam gets cut backs and payouts when deals like that go through. But with the Democratic Majority congress they set this bailout to make big business responsible for their own short comings. And if it would've passed and those corps saw profits, they had to pay it to the Gov't or give taxpayers stock options. They didn't want to do that. So the republicans voted it down.
I got a chance to read the proposal today.
financialservices.house.gov

Pelosi and the House actually did try to look out for the majority of americans. Which is why I knew it wouldn't pass. Dems where only willing to start with 250 billion first and then see how they wall street handled it. That would've gone a long way. But they wanted the entire 700 billion up front with no oversight and that is why the House Minority [Republicans] didn't get enough votes. Because the republicans knew their base [the lobbyist on Wall street] wasn't going to be happy with it.
I believe Obama really is for the people. The man can relate to the majority of America's and how they are economically from his upbringing. He'll have to work with congress just like every other president. But at least the Democrats have control of the house. And our close to getting controlling vote of the senate, pending Election 2008. lol
I'm Pro Obama too. I just feel like he's got his work cut out for him and rather then doing a bailout, I think Bush needs to just pack his ish and get on the lawn. Just let the next admin see what's up. KappaGem, I really don't believe there is a REAL crisis. It was a money grab. Bush's own party denied the passage of it. lol They didn't want the baggage. haha

The bottom line is that SOMEONE has to be taxed in order for us to stay afloat. Would you and your RepubliKKKan friends prefer the poor & middle class be taxed more while the rich get tax breaks? That doesn't make sense. Honestly, I don't fall into the $250,000 bracket (although I strive to), but I do pretty well for myself. The more money I've made over the years, the more I've been taxed and I'm cool with that...it's a part of life. Right now, I have insurance through my company and I don't pay a dime for it...I see that as an equal exchange. Do you know how many countries are laughing at us because we are over hear crying about paying extra taxes. Like the people in Canada who pay way more in taxes, but look at their health care system, their economy, & their infrastructure. I think that people are looking at it like they don't want to use their hard earned money to help someone who is not on their level...but it's not just about the poor and the middle class...this will help them too. Look at all of these celebrities who are for Obama, they are like I don't give a F***K about him raising taxes...I just want the economy to get better, because if the middle class ain't eating then I ain't eating.

LTBrown - I'm reading what you posted about him not raising taxes on small business....

But he is.  You realize a small business includes many different realms...

Real Estate
Network Marketers
Mom and Pop Shops
and so forth.

If Obama is taxing the "upper tax bracket", it includes a number of those who are small business owners as well.  I have a friend who's parents own a restaurant in Columbus.  They are a SMALL BUSINESS.  If the tax increase plan Obama has presented were to go through, they would be forced to fire some of their employees in order to offset the hike in taxes.  Even more so, they LIKE Obama, but are in a tight place because there is no way they can support his plan.  I'm using them as just an example.  Same goes for my homegirl who's parents own a dry cleaning spot up in Chicago.  They like Obama as well, but are already contemplating how they can decrease costs if they are taxed higher, and it starts with employees.  Salaries are the #1 expense of MOST businesses, and in times of economic concern, the first thing companies do is cut at the bottom line...aka...employees.

You tax the people who provide jobs, and they have no choice but to cut the jobs which they can't afford to pay for...

Make sense?

I'm reading through that link, but I have yet to see anything about Small Business, with the exception that he'll do some stuff with the Rural Small business (Farmers and such).  Nothing about small business entrepreneur type individuals like myself...

Bankrupt Economics
Why the crisis will deepen and get harder to fix

Newsweek Web Exclusive
Sep 29, 2008 | Updated: 10:31  a.m. ET Sep 29, 2008
From the Editors (2)

What we are witnessing, in the broadest sense, is the bankruptcy of modern economics. Its conceit has been that we had solved the problem of stability. Oh, there would be periodic recessions, but the prospects of a major economic collapse were negligible because we knew how the system worked and could take steps to prevent it. What's been so unsettling about the present crisis is that it has not conformed to the standard model of business cycles and has not submitted to familiar textbook solutions.

A hallmark of the crisis has been the stark contrast between the "real economy" of production and jobs and the tumultuous financial markets of stocks, bonds, banks, money funds and the like. Even with the 60 percent drop in housing construction since early 2006, the real economy has so far suffered only modest setbacks. Yes, there are 605,000 fewer payroll jobs than there were in December; still, 137.5 million jobs remain. Meanwhile, financial markets verge on hysteria. The question is whether this hysteria will drive the real economy into a deep recession or worse -- and what we can do to prevent that.

You got jokes...I give you that.  But all you've told me is what you "believe"...

And I don't define myself by any given party...I've voted Democrat my whole life, but I've come to learn I can't be "plugged in" to a system JUST BECAUSE anymore.  Don't get it twisted...I'm voting FOR Obama...because McCain just seems to be "out of touch"...

To your point "a strong economy = a strong nation"....I couldn't agree more.  I just find it funny people really think taxing people who make $250K more is gonna help.  You're gonna see unemployment increase, and the same people who complain about taxes now will be talking about how they can't even find work.  That's what concerns me...

Oh, and peep this...

Martin Luther King was a Republican too...does that make him KKK?

Just wondering...

I think when we put too much power into a party (i.e. Democratic Party is for "black people", while the Republicans are for "white people", we play into the hands that feed us).

Just my observation...

Again, I don't align myself to ANY one party.  And ALL businesses are going under as we speak.  You're not slick with your jokes:)

Read the tax breaks for small businesses though. lol

yo 'Kap' what do u do for a living?

why do u keep callin taxes a punishment?

if your not in the $250,000 income bracket why are u so worried about those that are?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^I'm in Retail.  I'm a Merchandiser for DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse).  Outside of that, I also run an web-based business on the side, helping major and exclusive companies gain and/or build market share online (some of my partners are Office Depot, Circuit City, Barnes & Noble, etc...).

The reason I "worry" about it BossUp is for two reasons.

1.  I believe in people doing FOR SELF, and not depending on our govt. for sh*t.  I don't trust the govt, and much of what we take for granted that the government "helps" with is typically a means to keep us under their control (financially, physically, etc...)

2.  The economy is in a rut.  Dems and Repubs are to blame.  I can't stand George Bush...he sucks major azz, but he didn't put us here by himself, and the Republicans aren't the only ones to blame.  The economy isn't going to change just by taxing those who make more money.  I'm sorry, but it really isn't.  Taxes increase, costs must decrease in order to make a profit.

I have learned most of this by working for retailers.  When the cost of, say, making a pair of Nike's increases, who do you think eats the dollar?  It's not Nike:).  They just pass the buck over to us, and in turn, WE pay more for the shoes.  Why do ya'll think Jordan's keep going up?  Has nothing to do with the quality folks...has everything to do with increases in production, marketing, distribution, etc....WE, the consumer, pays the difference.  It's f*cked up, but true...

Same goes for these taxes...you take food off my table, and I'm gonna do whatever I have to in order to keep it there, right?  So, if taxes increase, I just cut the bottom line and fire workers.  At some point I can't cut workers anymore, so then I gotta just call it quits, file bankruptcy, and hope the govt. can get me out of my rut.  It's a vicious cycle.

You're correct...I'm not in that tax bracket...YET.  But if I made $250K, and I only took home $150K, I think it would piss me off.  I think I could find some good use for at least another $50-$75K of that $100K that was taken.  That's my only call out...

I could even find ways to invest some of that into my business, creating more opportunities for other people, ya dig?

I'm not saying there aren't some crazy azz, dirty CEO's out there who don't need to be punished, but ultimately, you paying MORE in taxes just because you EARNED more doesn't add up...that's all...

Oh, and Boss...you do get hit with some CRAZY taxes for inheritance.  Real talk...unless that money is tied into some tax incentive or real estate or what not. I'm not an expert on those things, but they do tax that azz....

personality-wise,

so it was kinda sad how he got smashed on.

Forbes 2 old 2 be fightin that young boy tho.

Berto was just beastin on him.

damn had him cut up in rd 2 i think.

and dont nobody seem 2 want it w/ Berto.

cant blame em tho.

i thought that Mosely-Mayorga fight was on point.

couldnt believe that Mosely actually got that KO.

maaaan, he needed that in a major way.

it took him all the way til like 2:29 (?) of 12.

but shit Mayorga was way overweight 2.

damn i was shocked as shit when i saw it happen tho.

i was hootin & holla'n, clappin @ the screen.

i was hella excited & just sittin there watchin by myself,

actin a fool. hahahahahahahaha

but maybe that can bring his confidence back,

guess we'll see.

cause Mosely aint never been the same

since he got knocked out them 2x.

i always liked him alright tho.

need to stop all that damn smilin and shit.

but im happy for him tho.

and they was talkin bout upcoming Hopkins-Pavlik,

Jones-Calzaghe and

De La Hoya-Pacquiao (<<<< am i the only 1 like, WTF?)

and who saw that Chris Rock show?

that shit was kinda funny,

well nah it was some parts that were HIL-AR-IOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

near the end.

i was dyin.

he said that nothin makes "the privacy" dry up quicker

than a female reachin 4 her wallet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*DEAD* @ that shit.

ahhhh hahahahaha hahahahaha

he a damn fool.

but u know at the same time,

Chris Rock got that other side to him too.

idk if im misperceiving, but to me,

it seems like he a b downgradin black folks too much,

at the same time.

idk, thats just my personal view as i've watched him progress.

like me personally,

i wasnt feelin him talkin bout we not ready for a Black 1st lady.

i mean some of it was a lil funny,

like when he said, that the 1st Black man gets elected

and he comes home to tell his wife, "i won! im the president!"

she responds like, "no. u mean WE the president."

now thats was some funny shit

(& aint nothing wrong w/ dat no way, she right LOL).

i mean he do talk about everybody, but still tho.

yeah its just some things that u can cross the line on imo.

talkin bout Obama need to get a White woman

to ever really become President. SMH

thats a GOT-DAMN shame.

Chris Rock got problems. SMH

and i still think that Head of State

was like the funniest shit ever.

oh shit! b4 i go 2...

man i watch Romeo Must Die last night.

daaaaaaamn that shit used to be the movie,

and the soundtrack slapped too.

but why did i never ever ever ever trip b4

that it was supposed to be set in Oakland?

it never even had a West Coast vibe to me at all.

hmmm.

but then i start lookin 4 markers,

and it was.

it was still real under tho. thats a trip.

i usually can tell Oakland/S.F. and Detroit

in any movie ever made w/o mention being made.

& just gotta watch the credits at the end to know for sure.

anyway...

Economy in Turmoil: Winners and losers
A look at who benefits and who is suffers from the economic mess

ANALYSIS
By John W. Schoen
Senior producer
MSNBC
updated 2 hours, 10 minutes ago

The failure of a massive $700 billion bailout financial plan Monday removes a critical firewall intended to keep the credit market collapse from spilling over into the global economy.

But even if the plan is somehow revived, cracks are beginning to widen in the foundations of the global banking system.

Aftershocks from the ongoing credit crisis struck again Monday, with the forced marriage of Wachovia and Citigroup and the nationalization of several European banks.

The latest reverberations comes just days after regulators seized the assets of Washington Mutual, which was losing ground to mounting writedowns on mortgage-related investments, and found a buyer in JP Morgan Chase. It was the largest bank failure in U.S. history.

To try to calm the waters Monday, central banks around the world said they were offering up billions of dollars in fresh capital to help banks here and abroad as they take struggle to stay afloat as the credit crisis worsens. The Federal Reserve said it will make a total of $620 billion available to other central banks, swapping dollars for foreign currencies. That’s more than double the cash pile already provided by the Fed.

The global effort, involving central banks around the world, is yet another indication that the credit crisis that began in the U.S. mortgage market has infected the river of capital that flows through the global economy. Until recently, the problem had been limited to a handful of British banks.

“We've seen a sharp increase in funding costs over the past two, three weeks overseas ,” said Alex Patelis, head of international economics with Merrill Lynch. “that's bringing the weaker players in the banking sector down. we've seen a number of issues with banks down throughout Europe today.”

As the banking crisis threatens to spill over to the global economy, the worry is that bankers have been underestimating the potential impact on their holdings from ongoing losses related to mortgage defaults and foreclosures.

You got it backwards. Regulations where set up before W and his boys. His guys Blunt, McCain, Beiner and more, deregulated those companies year by year. That is why they won't approve the bailout. Because there is too much oversight. In other words, the Democrats want accountability. lol

I have a business meeting to run too...but I want to leave this with people...

I'm starting to wonder if we, black/brown people, find ourselves on the losing side a majority of the time, based on what we "believe".  For example...

We first sympathized with the Republican party right before the Civil War (it was an Republican Pres, Abe Lincoln, who was Pres. during this tumultuous time).  From Reconstruction up until the New Deal the black population tended to vote Republican as the Republican Party, particularly in the Southern United States, was seen as more racially liberal than the Democratic Party, primarily because of the role of the southern wing of the Democratic Party as the party of segregation and the Republican Party's roots in the abolitionist movement.

Blacks started to shift in significant numbers to the Democrats with the election of Franklin Roosevelt, whose New Deal particularly benefited economically disadvantaged minority communities and helped forge the New Deal coalition which dominated American politics for the next 30 years, and continued with the election of John F. Kennedy, an Irish-Catholic Democrat who pioneered racial equality legislation while in office, resulting in a flight of conservative Democrats in the South to the Republican Party.

I have no issues or quarrels with the New Deal, or how it affected the lives of African-Americans.  But it seems we "jump" sides as SOON as they throw us a bone.  If anything, we needed some sort of help or initiative to encourage and help fight during an era where we were looked at as less than whites.  But within' that came the mind-state that we must depend on govt. for us to make a stake in this world.  To throw us that "bone".  I say forget that...

I would rather we fought for what is OURS...you don't truly have freedom in this world until you have FINANCIAL freedom.  But you have to work for it...work smart, not hard.

And Freedom comes with a price, because ironically,

FREEDOM is NOT FREE...

The Seventh Seal said:

Matthew 24

Signs of the End of the Age

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."
As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

If you get involved with the Gov give back plan [incentives for  your employees to join and do grassroots, etc] there is more money and breaks to be gotten there. Hey, you've got to go to a rally too Kapp. You know you can always asked questions at your local Obama office there. They will get those answers for you. They did for me, at least. Try that. I bet you're sweating for nothing on the small business.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I have gone to some rally's baby girl.  I even got to shake Obama's hand a few times.  It was before he came out with his "plan" per se, or at least it was before I was truly looking into it.

I have spoken with a number of people for his camp here in Ohio, and ultimately, they admit...those who make more than $250K will be taxed higher...Period.

So, that really answered my question, whether it was 5% more or 15% more.  I guess we'll see, because that man is definitely gonna win it.

AGain, I don't see it happening, because the people in Washington are NOT gonna tax themselves MORE money...just don't see it happening...

The Coming of the Lord (The Rapture of the Church)

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

@LTBrown - It was definitely a money grab.  I agree 100%.  Bush ain't slick...but did you know this...

YEARS ago, back when Fannie May and Freddie Mac were gobbling up loans and making it EASIER to get a house in our economy, the REPUBS wanted to put in some sort of "check and balances" to oversee their practices and what not.  The DEMS shot them down!  Real talk...Democrats didn't only shoot them down one time, but numerous times.  Next thing you know, we are where we are now, where these fools don't have any governance, and now the govt. has all those mortgages under their control.

It's a dirty game...real dirty...

I don't even have the literature to truly see just how much the Illum have in play in this, but if this don't sound like some New World Order sh*t, then I don't know what does.  Just think about it...the collapse of an world economy is easily at hand, we're too blind to see
=======================================
You got it backwards. Regulations where set up before W and his boys. His guys Blunt, McCain, Beiner and more, deregulated those companies year by year. That is why they won't approve the bailout. Because there is too much oversight. In other words, the Democrats want accountability. lol

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I disagree, but check this out...

That's from the New York Times, stating Bush and them were FOR regulating Fannie and Freddie.  And rmember...I CAN'T STAND BUSH'S AZZ!

I actually blame BOTH Dems and Repubs, because they shoulda caught this ish a long time ago.  Oh, and oh boy that used to be in charge of the money, Alan Greenspan, called all this out YEARS ago too, but nobody listened.

Please ask your friend's parent how business has been going recently. I'm sure with the economy as weak as it is, there can't be many people eating out or getting their clothes dry cleaned. Let's face it, if MKKKain gets elected he will enforce the same policies as the Bush Administration and guess what...your homey's parents will have to do more than lay off workers, they will have to shut down.

Like Obama said, the economy is grown from the bottom up. If the economy is weak, you don't have customers, if you don't have customers, your business fails. If the economy is strong, you get customers, if you have customers, your business booms and you can afford to pay more taxes.

@You're gonna see unemployment increase:

I don't know where you're from, but unemployment is already increasing rapidly. You keep bringing up these outcomes that you feel will occur if Obama raises taxes on the middle class, but you fail to realize that we are already experiencing these situations NOW...ie small business failure & high unemployment.

I'm not voting for Obama because he's black either, as a matter of fact I voted for Hillary during the primaries. So don't think that I am one of these "Pro-Obama because he's black and he will save all the negros" voters who is not doing their research. I'm voting for Obama because like you, I feel like MKKKain is totally out of touch with America and I feel like Obama genuinely have our best intrest at heart. I also feel like people, especially blacks expect too much out of Obama. It's like people want him to be this super-perfect robot or something. Nobody's perfect and there are always going to be issues that you don't agree with with every candidate. Every American has different priorities and unfortunantly, Obama will not be able to address them all. It's sad because I don't remember black people expecting this much from Gore or Kerry. All I hear is "I'm voting for Obama, but he is this or he is not that". I get so sick of that s***t. Why can't people just say "I'm voting for Obama"...and that's it. It's like we follow whatever these white candidates say, but as soon as a black man runs for something, we make him jump through hoops to get our vote...smh

As far as MLK being a Republican...most black people of that time were because the Republicans are the ones who fought against slavery. But, if you saw the DMC...MLK's youngest daughter Bernice King was interviewed and she said that he changed his party affiliation to Democrat because of JFK. She said that the Republicans of the past were different from the RepubliKKKans of today. I totally agree with her, and yes I do believe that Republikkkans are KKK.

The Seventh Seal said:

The Day of the Lord

First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation." But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

And believe me...I'm not saying the economy is good...the economy SUCKS!  Haha...I'm just glad some of what I do outside of my JOB, in regards to my business, is not affected as easily by our economy, namely because I deal with products people use and consume DAILY.  I agree, the economy sucks.  We see eye-to-eye on that...

My whole thing with the Repub/Dem parties is that we put too much TRUST into a party, and too much dislike into another.  It's why I refuse to be party affiliated....I have tended to vote MORE Democrat than REpub, but I think that is due to influence from my family more than anything.  The one thing I have found/seen in their views on many things is that they are not as financially sound as I have been becoming for the last few years.  I'm continuously working on myself, while my fam seems to be stagnant in different areas.

ay yo isn't atlanta the largest black metropolis?
do y'all have a black mayor?

are the airports on point? i mean can planes come and go? or are the planes grounded?
do y'all have a subway?

have there been MAJOR outbreaks of violence or crime anywhere?

and are prices increasing steadily on all goods?

oh and where are the majority of jobs located?
is it in a downtown or something like that?

do y'all have cold winters?
or mild ones?

(after readin all that, somethin tell me somebody gon gimme the wikipedia link)
================================================

Damn, that is a lot of questions...

Yes we are the largest black metropolis. Many people have been moving here since the 90s for better opportunities since the black people were doing so well career wise and owning their own houses. Unfortunantly, since the economy is shaky, we are one of the cities that are being hit the hardest. Some of our largest and most profitable businesses are either closing (ie Ford Plant & General Motors Plant) or they are laying-off in record numbers (ie AT&T/BellSouth, Delta, Coca Cola, The Government, Home Depot & Wachovia). And those are just a few. You have a city full people fighting over the same jobs. On top of that, the forclosure rates are through the roof...not necessarily because they got in-over-their-heads, but more so because people are losing their jobs and they can't pay their mortgage. I've been with AT&T/Bellsouth for 6 years and have already been laid off twice by them. Yea most jobs are located Downtown, but there are a lot of them located in the Northern Suburbs because the buildings are cheaper to lease.

We do have a black mayor and she has done a lot for the city, but it's the Governor's fault why we don't have gas. They say that he waited too long to ask the EPA to waive the requirement to sell reformulated gas in Atlanta (there goes another Republikkkan f**king up s**t again). Anyway everyone in Atlanta wants to have his head for this.

The planes aren't grounded and we have a rail system but it's not as advanced as a subway. Plus it only runs through the downtown area and not the outskirts of Atlanta where most people live. Atlanta is really spread out so you have to have a car to make it down here unless you live in the city.

Yea, the prices are increasing on everything...the prices are going up & the product is getting smaller. The crime has gotten ridiculous! They say that the murder and rape rates are going down, but the theft & burglary rates are going up. I wouldn't be surprised if we held the crown for bank robbery, home invasions, and retail snatch-n-grabs because we hear about that stuff on the news everyday.

The winters are pretty mild (not too hot & not too cold). Many people who move here from other states say that our weather is perfect. Plus we don't get earthquakes or tropical storms...maybe a tornado every now & then, but not often.

one more question, where are the rich people in atl?
i'm sayin like relative to the downtown.

like here in l.a. they are to the north and north west.
the hills.
the palisades.
malibu etc.

where are the rich relative to downtown atlanta
===============================================

Yo, the thing about Atlanta is rich people live everywhere, North, South, East, West, & Downtown.

Most people that's from here usually stay south or south-west because back in the day, that's where the prominent blacks lived and they didn't have to worry segregation or about getting f**ked with. It's like they had their own communitiy.

That's why celebrities who are actually from Atlanta live south like T.I., Ludacris, Outkast, Jezzy, Monica, J.D., Jagged Edge, 112, etc.

Now all of the ball players live north because most of them are not from here. And, the celebrities who live here but are not from here like Ne-Yo, T Pain, Lil Wayne, Juvy, etc. live either North, East, or Downtown.

i think i got a good handle on that tax shit. and you made some cool points. and you say boss up got that "broke mentality". but check it...

i got a cool ass job. i aint hurtin for money. i budget my shit well. livin comfortable. but even if i saved every check i got for the next 3 years and didnt spend a dime... i aint even sniffin $250,000, let alone makin $250,000 a year. and as much as i would love to be makin that kinda bread...

bein realistic. thats problably not gonna happen. not for me, or the majority of people in this country.

keep it funky ya'll... who makin $250,000 a year up in here. or even anything close to that.

thats why regular folk aint concerned with that upper tax bracket tax hike. it aint broke mentality... just bein realistic.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

If you keep doing what you've always done, you're going to get what you've always got B*braze.  Who do you run with?  What type of folks are you associating with?  Who do you "build" with financially?  Truthfully, if you want to make that $250K/yr, and you find an business system or "vehicle" to help you achieve that, then it truly is possible bruh.  It's called working "smart", not hard.  For example...

You're basically sayin' you make less than $83K a year doing whatever you do.  The business I'm doing, I should be pulling in about an EXTRA $72K OUTSIDE of my JOB as a Merchandiser.  That means IN ADDITION to what I do daily as a Merchandiser.  But here's where the fun comes in...

I only work about 10 hrs/week in MY BUSINESS vs. the 45-50 I do at the JOB.  It's called working smart, and building a franchise bruh.  And the killer thing is it's not that hard.  We could wrap on that on email or what not if you want more info. as to what I do.  I don't hold back whatsoever, because I'm all about upliftment of people...period.

But for you to THINK you won't even "SNIFF" that is crazy...I feel ALL people can have an opportunity to make that upper 2%...they just have to want it enough, and be willing to do the work to get it...

But that's just me...breaking away from "broke mentality"...

And when I say broke mentality, that's not a knock on ANYONE on here...I used to think like that too!  Hell, I STILL have to check myself on stuff, but it's true.  You know how I know?

Because only 2% of Americans are even making more than $250K a year, while the other 98% don't...believe me....that 2% didn't just "inherit" that ish...they were just working smarter than the other 98%.

Here's another stat for you...

98% of Americans are either dead or broke by age 65 (the age the US says you can retire and collect that social security, which probably won't be there when we're 65 anyways).  You ever read a book called Rich Dad/Poor Dad?  Check that ish out...

Under fire, Perdue asks Bush to tap oil reserves
By JAMES SALZER

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

As Gov. Sonny Perdue tries to drum up business on a trade mission in Spain, his office insists he’s also staying on top of Georgia’s gasoline shortage.

Perdue’s staff on Monday put out a release saying the governor has asked President Bush to have the Department of Energy release a significant amount of crude oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

Perdue acknowledged it would take time for the crude to be processed by refineries and shipped to the metro Atlanta market.

The announcement comes as Perdue continues to face criticism from Democrats, who have called for him to return early from his weeklong trip to Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Milan.

@LTBrown - Got it...

That isn't going to stop those business owners from being hit with taxes that will cause them to unemploy people.  Case in point, my start-up cost for my business was only $170, roughly.  It has minor costs for business tools, etc, but those things are tax deductable, making them a write off.  However, based on the plan set in motion, I will have to find a LOT of things to write off in order to make up for the difference in taxes.  It's a somewhat dirty game.  When I say small business, I'm not only talking about people who own brick and mortar companies...I'm talking about Independent Business Owners as well, who contribute to the economy.  Or to people like the one dude on here who does Prepaid Legal (network marketing), or the people who start their own retail ventures, etc, who will be hit hard with those kinds of taxes.  All I'm saying is they EARNED that income...they didn't just "come by" wealth.  They are the entrepreneurs who help the economy thrive...

I guess I'll just agree to disagree with Obama's plan...

Remember, I'm still voting FOR him, because my belief that he'll do what's right outweighs McCain...

Doesn't mean I agree w/EVERYTHING he's
===================================
Kapp. This is the Gov't. The only thing certain is death and taxes. But they aren't paying Capital Gains taxes. Which is like a fixed interest rate on a loan. It's not increasing. And if you hire employees you make more too. Plus another incentive is.

================================
I feel ya and I respect your opinion. It takes 2/3 vote to pass a bill. We've never had a Democratic Executive branch [President] at the same time we have a Democratic Legislative branch [Congress] though. Dems have control of congress [for the last 2 years]. I think it's possible. That's two of the top 3 branches who vote bills into law. The minority would have to call upon the Judicial branch to veto or stop. Supreme Court has some of Bush admin appointees on it still. But the next Pres gets to fill a seat or two [or hopefully replace a couple]. Could cause a problem there too. But it would have to get there and by then. It would be make public. Just like that bailout, Repubs wouldn't want their middle class in the state they're elected from to know they shot it down. They couldn't hide behind a bill like have this bailout [secrecy crap]. I still don't believe it was any crisis.  lol The one they created maybe because our companies pulled our money for lack of trust for this admin. Shit was still trading before Friday when our teams pulled. That crash yesterday was from others pulling out, mind you.

And I know Bush, Cheney and that admin deregulated Wall Street. That's why McCain is losing and trying to act like he spearheaded the bailout that failed anyway. Because he's voted favorable on each and every deregulation law. He's trying to make it look like he's for main street when he's not. He's for Wall Street. Rick Davis was the regulator for Fannie and Freddie. [I already posted this]. He's the lobbyist who now runs McCain's campaign. There are what they call Conservative Democrats too. Like boring ass Lieberman. Those types for sure vote with McCain and voted dereg's but not the Obama types. And surely not Obama.
Are you still trusting the media instead of searching it out for yourself? No. Do you trust the media?
NEW YORK TIMES? lol You may as well said Fix News. lol

And back to your small business concerns.
No Capital gains taxes for new or small business.
I mislead you on that definition. Capital gains are asset taxes [like stock or real estates [property]]
In other words, no property tax or incise tax on new or small businesses.
That really shows me he is for the "little" man. Because only the richest folks and big business are receiving NEW taxes.

They punched him kicked him and then stomped him out.

......smh, I know this was all behind Hoopz, can you believe Real asking her to marry him, if Im not mistaking she had a man before she went on the show, I wonder what he thinks of all this madness??

stay tuned yall, there's more to come!
and remember, yall heard it 1st from me, ya girl Miss
