Who ever wrote this is bugging. This up there as one of the best albums of the year behind Untitled and Rising Down. My only crique would be the sequencing towards the very end where he has three back to back songs about relationships. Other than that this is a dope album and its the first album I heard from him. If you looking for fresh subject matter, good lyrics, and tight beats this is the ticket. Its better than Game and Ti's album.

Ok first thing need to address is this dude is straight fire! Sometimes we get caught in the music trap thinking songs on the radio is good music. (Not saying 100% of the music played is trash, but I am saying I don't need every1 biting T-Pain) In New york we have only 2 hiphop stations and they play the same 14 songs all damn day. 3 songs are by LIL wayne, 1 Jayz, 2 T.I, 2 T-pain, 2 Neyo, 2 beyonce, 1 Dipset, and the same old school joint all week(LiL vicious, lazy bastards don't even add something new. After hear these toons you forget what real hiphop should sound like.

man thats a bugged out review! i thought this album was up there with the best this year.... i also like his other stuff but i like the new direction... like he said in one of the songs, " i signed to the devil (major) and destroyed it from within" i would rather a dude like murs be considered commercial (not that he is) than say t-pain or whatever bullshit they play ya dig, coz atleast that would mean that commercial hip hop was still nice... which i cant say at the moment

i picked this up 2 tuesdays ago along with t.i., and robin thicke... which are all totaly different shits.... i wasnt able to truly listen to his record, cuz i had to bump papertrail inthe whip, and something else, at the crib... but murs is dope.. wat dude said about this being for the everyday man, is right... when dude talk about bein flashy on "lookin fly", hes talkin bout that moment, all us po'folk feel, when we just get that fade... or just wash the car... and on those relationship tracks, he throws in sum rock guitar that be a true feelin when your girl be pissin you off... and r&b can cure it... (plus there a dope jame blunt sample he threw in, which was ill)... although he may sount a lil off, on radio beats, its a good change, an dj quick did a good job of mixing shit... his voice actualy sound like the doc' at times... at least check it out.... before we say no, cuz of his hair.... lol...

I like the cd, and the song with Will I Am isn't that bad, and the song with Snoop is dope also. Now, I'm not hip to his older stuff, and I'm not sure why he's getting dissed because he's on a major. Nobody was checkin for MURS when he was on the smaller labels. I think MURS is cool for kats who just want to hear good hip hop without all the rah rah bravado and dope dealin'. It's always funny to me that people can listen to niggas rappin about dope, guns, cars and women all day, but as soon as a brotha trys to rap about something positive, yall shit on him. no problem bro datpiff.com is a great site for mixtapes cuz they got somethin like 20,000 mixtapes on that. they got almost every mixtape i have ever heard of on that. they update that site every couple of hours too.

this is a good album by my main man MURS, although i cant stand the song w/ will.i.am! Im glad to see him getting the recognition he deserves! Not to mention that DJ Quik did the mixing for this album. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you havent already.
