Look, I am a 50 cent fam live at 5 from NY born and raised. I been with dude since the mixtape days when his buzz was only as big as lets say... T-Rex's is now. Just a local NY mixtape rapper with some skill. Back then, dude was Ill... I mean impressive. His motivation, KILL JA RULES Career (which he did successfully). That was his best work. Think about it. Wanksta which was his break out song was about Ja! In the club also had several shots at Ja Rule in it. Ever since the first album Fif has been on a steady decline to the point of him currently being irrelovent at motivating the minds of his listeners. For example, 50 couldnt, do what Jay did and tell people Change Clothes, jerseys are over. People would not listen to him. The proof is Rick Ross... For all of 50s MONEY, Status, reputation and power, he could not beat Rick Ross musically. Its too a point now that even on THISIS50.com the bulk of his fan are asking him to stop beefing with Ross because he is losing. Ross makes better music. Despite his career background, his music is undeniable. Fifs music sounds like its 1997. Too many yes Mans around him telling him its hot when it isnt.
And by the way, I recorded with several Murder Inc artist including Ja and the pictures are on my myspace page so this isnt a one sided opinion, just real talk

I think for a free mixtape, street album or whatever this is pretty good. If this was another rappers actual commercial LP people would probably call this a classic album. 50's problem is that he is 50. He should dp what he did for Game with a lot of these songs and give another make another cat's career pop and enjoy the royalties. Alot of 50's mixtape songs are hot, and he puts out a lot of material... he's almost tupac-like in the amount of music he has recorded... difference is he's doing it while he's still alive.....they like you better after you're dead.

keep in mind,50 [like most other artists] have waited their whole lives to make their 1st cd..and the 2nd is made while they are enveloped in the after effects of their 1st one.that alone makes it hard to ever outdo their 1st efforts.timbaland & polo da don on production only indicates to me,50 is going the pop route for that cd..hoping to garner back to back slaps..heavy on features..I remember when cmw came with "music to driveby" & 8ball & mjg came with "on the outside lookin' in",both were arguably their best works,much like "grodt" cmw & ball & g only had ONE feature on that bitch each..and for mc ehit,he did more tracks then ball & g & rapped the whole thing for dolo..

To be honest I haven't been a die hard fan of a rapper since 2Pac got killed. And even then, I didn't really like 2pac all that much until his album Me Against the World was released. I've been reading the comments on this forum and first and foremost, Fuck lil Wayne, that lil nigga is garbage to me. He shouldn't even be compared to 50, they are two different types of rappers. I liked 50's first two albums. On Curtis, he just sounded like he wasn't hungry, like he had lost his passion and fell off into his own lil comfort zone. I didn't really like but 3 tracks off of that whole album. But he's had some time off now and has been through some shit since Curtis, so B4 I Self Destruct should have some interesting things on it. As far as the War Angel, I haven't listened to it yet. I'm not really a big fan of mixtapes, I like original albums. Based on what most people are saying on this forum, the War Angel is good, I just hope the mixtape isn't better than the actual album. I'm seeing that happen more and more these days, and to me, that's just sad.
