We all know TIP made a deal when he got caught, but so does EVERYBODY. Don't know if its true BUT I heard at the time the info he gave police was related to Hosea only. So should TIP be considered a snitch for helping catch his road dawgs killer???

I still think the two cases are linked & i've explained why below. This might read like a crime novel so PAY ATTENTION

ONE
T.I's homeboy Philant Johnson was murdered in May 2006 and the case didn't progress very far through a lack of leads and evidence. T.I wasn't forthcoming with any suspect names at the time and the Thomas Brothers responsible for the murder were never identified as suspects.

TWO
Fast forward nearly two years to the period between T.I's arrest on WILD gun charges in Oct 2007 and his well negotiated plea bargain in March/April 2008. During this short space of time the names of BOTH Thomas brothers come up for the first time, as does confirmation by the police that T.I will be testifying as an eye-witness for the first time

THREE
Just to recap - The murder case was dead for A YEAR & A HALF
With no leads, no names, no witnessess, nothing.
Yet within MONTHS of T.I's arrest on gun charges both suspects are named for the first time AND for the first time T.I confims he can identify the suspects and agrees to testify against them. THEN, a few months after THAT breakthrough T.I gets a plea deal in his OWN case to serve 12 months and 1000 hours community service.... Still with me?

CONCLUSION
IF the murder case was cold for sooo long and then BOOM within a few months of T.I's arrest he's agreeing to testify against the previously unknown Thomas Brothers and then BOOM after thats confirmed he gets 12 months instead of the 5 years standard sentence depsite his violent prior convictions - It does kinda suggest to me that the police knew who the killers were from jump but had no evidence or witnessess, so when they had T.I under arrest they put the offer on the table to testify against his friends murderers and reduce his sentence. Don't know what you know about five-0 but thats their Modus Operandi dude.

For me personally, when my homie broke it down to me like THAT the first thing I thought was IT CAN'T BE A COINCIDENCE, hence my post earlier. But like i've been saying I don't think he's a snitch I think he's lucky to of had the opportunity to make a very smart move, and he was smart enough to make it.

As for your opinion that the two crimes ain't connected cos they occured in two seperate districts, since when did that matter? Police Info is Police Info, the State ain't gonna refuse to offer you a deal for a successful Murder conviction JUST BECAUSE the murder in question occured in another state - especially if its a high profile murder. Cross Jurisdiction co-operation ain't nothing new, district attorneys roll in packs scratchin eachothas backs

This guy couldnt even afford a decent lawyer, he is definately not big time. So how could catching the killer of this small time no name man knock what couldve been 10 or more years for TI? Please get your facts straight people. There was nothing in the testimony TI gave that puts that man relatively close to the scene. He was done when his own brother sold him out. If they cut a deal that keeps his brother, the driver, out of jail, they must've been confident enough that they don't need to cut a deal with TI. Think about it.Why would they need to? Why would they cut FED time for an extremely small time individual?

Some of you got pinched for weed, maybe not even good weed. And after going to jail for 2 hours and your mother bails you out, you seem to think you are the hardest thing on the planet, knowinfg every street code. Stop acting, study the law, and find out what a snitch really is. If TI actually gave information to cut time, then his papers would place him as a cooperative witness/informant. You can't hide that. It's on paper. You're lawyer can't change court rulings and documents. Once the gavel hits and whatever deal is done, its on paper.

Alot of you want Tupac and Biggies killers found, but that takes some level of snitching to be accomplished. Right? See, alot of you have snitch in you, but don't even know it.

Dude, you need books in your life.

1. Only a small percentage of that bail was kept upon release.The purpose of a bail bond is to assure the defendant's appearance at trial. If a defendant goes to trial and is found not guilty, the bond is DISCHARGED at that time. If a person pleads guilty, the bond is DISCHARGED at the time of sentencing. That money is back in the hands of him and his executives. Nice try.

2. That would be the case if Federal Judge Charles Pannell Jr didn't feel that TI would benefit the community more so out of prison then in prison. This is something very experimental in which TI serves that 1 year 1 day. The one day is helpful because anyone incarcerated for at the least a day over one year can get time reduced by 15% due to good behavior. But at the same time his deal can ADD more years to his prison sentence once this year is served. Meaning he could be out earlier or later.

3. In what way would that apply to anything. I mean seriously, you really reached for the stars on that one.

4. Read my post before this one. To sum it up, the names of these small time individuals for this STATE case will not knock off time for a FED case. Mainly because they aren't related, and again, these are SMALL TIME. They are in no way the Mafia.

5.We all saw Punked, we laughed, we cried. At the end of the day, all he said was "Those bullets aint mine." Even when they made him sit down and his friend talked back, he said don't do that. Because any altercation with these so called cops could lead to more charges. Therefore its best to sit, smile, and wait for your lawyer.With the only words being"those aren't mine." I don't see how you can read into it that he is a snitch. Again, you are trying too hard.

6. Community Service. The commercial will take time away from that. What do you think felons, inmates, rolemodels tell kids when they go to their schools/communities? They tell them don't do crime, drugs. A snitch in no way helps a community. It actually does the opposite.

7. Refer back to 1. He lost close to nothing as far as bail goes. The money again, for the most part, was returned.

8.Could be true in alot of cases. And im sure the judge let him know this. But at the end of the day, the Judge found this route more benficial for the community. Are you mad at the judge for that?

9.Funny you bring up Vick, a seperate case, seperate terms, seperate judge. We joke around in Atlanta about that case. Saying that if Vick attended that benefit full of important politicians, he wouldn't be in this situation. He probably would've recieved favors, Peta probably wouldn't have rode him so hard. But again thats a different case, different circumstances.And Vick is NOT doing years. Don't bring up old cases either. Because Frank Lucas snitched on a multitude of people and STILL did 16 years. DBoys is old. The old dosen't apply to the new. Each case is handled differently. TI is TI. In the end, not only does he have more money then you. He is also a prominent individual in the black community. Of course in this judicial system, that speaks alot. Not saying that it is right, but it is what it is.
