New York rap label Ruff Ryders has announced several new projects in 2010, including a reunion album featuring DMX, Eve and The Lox, a new album from Drag-On and a new venture, Ruff Ryder Indy.

Drag-On, born Mel Small, will release his third and final album for Ruff Ryders entitled My Life, My Legacy, My Melody in March.

The release will drop on Drag-On’s own record label Hood Environment, which he founded in 2006.

"I’ve reinvented myself and created a whole new sound," Drag-On told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "I’m trying to create another umbrella in this game with my label Hood Environment and my artists Da Dude and Eyez.B. However, I’m still the original ‘Fire-Man.’"

Drag-On entered into a joint venture deal with Ruff Ryder Indy to distribute his third official release.

Ruff Ryder Indy is a new, national distribution company founded by Ruff Ryder CEO Waah Dean. The distribution company serves independent artists with various album budgets.

“Over the last 20 years, my family and I have built the Ruff Ryders brand on good music, original talent and hard work,” Waah Dean stated. “Now, we are entering a new chapter of our company with album releases from Drag, Mook and the Ruff Ryder team, as well as the creation of our new ‘Ruff Ryder Indy’ division.”

Drag-On’s album will be followed by Ruff Ryders Evolution: Generation I.

The album will feature production from group member Swizz Beatz, in addition to appearances by Jadakiss, Styles P., Sheek Louch, Eve, Drag-On, DMX and the label’s newest artist, Mook.

What I don't understand. In 1998 Ruff Ryders was
the hottest s**tNew York had to offer. They could have
sold CDs with the sounds of a motorcycle and went
platinum. Now 12 years later, when nobody is really
checking for them anymore, they want to drop new
music?

What kind of marketing is that.

Come on. LOX are like having label deals with
anybody in the biz. DMX ended his career once and
for all after backing out of that fight.

Besides Eve, there is nobody worth checking on
Ruff Ryders. ANd she cannot carry the torch alone.

These Dean guys are the most stupid marketers in
the world. They didn't even breed new Artists.
They didn't maintain the RR concept. And even
their couz Swizz went AWOL.

Ruff Ryders was a dominant force in hip hop. they need to bring some young talent in the for front in order to be considered a legit force in the hip hop scene right now. Styles P is nice, Jada is nice, "X" is definitely nice on the mic but they have to bring out the new Ruff Ryders and blend them in wit the originals.

this is about 11 years too late.  i remember seeing the "ruff ryders anthem" video for the first time and thinking to myself these ninjas were gonna be a f*cking problem.

now? who's to say? that's what happends when the biggest artist on the roster can't keep their head straight...

and to think, there was a time when people would argue who was better jaz-o jr. or dmx....

"TIMES HAVE CHANGED"

Despite O.J. Simpson not being black friendly, blacks still stood by him and supported him when he was arrested for killing his ex-wife. Black media and Black leaders rallied around him and accused everyone involved with O.J.'s prosecution "of trying to bring a Black man down!"

Blacks even went on talk shows defending him.  On an old episode of the Geraldo talk show, a black woman in the audience was defending him left and right until a white lawyer (sitting on stage) asked her, "Why are you defending him when he doesn't even like you?"  Faye Resnick chimed in, saying, "O.J. hates being Black."

When O.J. was arrested in Las Vegas, no blacks came to his defense and there were no protestors outside the courtroom.

I say that to say this:  Civil Rights organizations, black leaders and black media have yet to come to Tiger Woods defense and it's doubtful they ever will.  Allegedly, he snubbed all black media requests for interviews in favor of being interviewed for white magazines.  He also denied his blackness and basically made up an ethnicity for himself.

And it didn't help that he made the following quotes:

In May 2000 the NAACP called on black athletes to boycott events in South Carolina over the state's refusal to stop flying the the Confederate flag over its capitol building; A reprehensible provocation in this day and age, Serena Williams certainly thought so, as did the New York Knicks basketball team and many other black athletes. Asked if he would support the NAACP boycott, Tiger Woods replied... 'I'm a golfer. That's "their" deal, not mine.'

Cleveland Browns legend Jim Brown was critical of Tiger Woods handling of the controversy when golf commentator Kelly Tilghman made a reference to "lynching" Tiger Woods. Incredibly, Tiger Woods came to Tilghman's defense and basically said "IT WASN'T A BIG DEAL."

"He should have come out right away. Instead, he waited until it was politically correct [to comment]," Brown said. "The word 'lynch' ... there is no redeeming part of it.

"When you say lynch, you're gonna have to pay the price," Brown continued. "That is a very embarrassing word, a humiliating one, in the history of our country."

An unconfirmed rumor is circulating that one of the mistresses may be allegedly pregnant.

BREAKING NEWS:

According to NBC News & Bossip: WINDERMERE, Fla. – A woman was transported to hospital from Tiger Woods’ Florida home after firefighters responded to a medical call early Tuesday, NBC News reported.  Also, allegedly, Elin has reportedly moved out of the house.
