Yes, but for all the bull**** surrounding the release, I'm sure even 50 expected to move at least 300k in the first week. I mean, he's all over the net, he's with Sigel on one day, Joe Budden's ex the next, then at Mayweather crib the following day, so he's been actively trying to seel the album. Nothing wrong with pushing your product, but 50 seems to have forgotten that the best way to sell units is to make good music, the beef method of selling records has been over used by none other than 50 himself. I haven't heard the entire album yet, but I doubt I'll buy it. The songs I have heard haven't made me want to go and buy it.

Rick Ross album had better 1st week sales with 200k, jay z always consistant since Volume 2 of moving around 300 - 400k the first week.. eminem consistant kanye consistant... so people are buying albums for Top Mc's which 50 was supposedly apart of... For this album the sales matched how good the album is.. personally i thought it wasnt a good album.

I haven't heard the album, but going by album sales, this let you know that people is fed up with 50 antics. What can 50 fans say now, Ross album debuted at #1, and Ross outsold 50 the first week. 50 won't ever sale like he once did, he is not part of the hip hop heavyweights, as far as record sales go, that would be Jay, Eminem, Kanye, Lil Wayne, these Artist go Platinum and above always. I'll listen to the album later though, just to see if it got some hot tracks up there.

I'm not a fan or hater but in my opinion the album is cool.

6.5/10 in my opinion,War angel was harder then the album itself and he overhyped the whole project like it was the best album of the year or sumthin......i heard every track at least four times so I know what I like as far as music....


P.S. CURTIS WAS A MUCH BETTER ALBUM!!!!!!!!

Damn, some of ya'll just need to see him fail.  These are only PROJECTIONS from a website that may not even be accurate.  Also, the week isn't over and those "projected" numbers don't include digital sales.

I was one of the people who copped it last week on itunes and its a hot album.. seriously.

I agree Fif needs to focus on the music and less beefs but he did a great job on this album.  Listen to the music first before you pass judgment.

I thought Curtis was a pretty good Album, but folks up here saying it was wack. It was better than Kanye album, that's for sure.

I like the album, but "Baby By Me", "Do You Think About Me", all that R&B type music, he lost me with that, I wasn't really feeling "OK Your Right" or "So Disrespectful" either.  I think he lost alot of people because of the singles he put at radio and "OK You Right" and "Baby By Me" were his radio singles..

The rest of the album I play start to finish, but aside from Flight 187 the end of the album is R&B, and that's not why I buy 50's music..

Still a fan, and I got my copy on iTunes the day it went for sale, but that R&B feel is what makes it a miss to me, aside from the fact that he GAVE AWAY soo many good individual tracks through mixtapes.

If he would have had "Redrum", "C.R.E.A.M.", "Talking in Codes" in place of the "Do You Think About Me", "Baby By Me", etc., I don't see any single left on the album that would have made for such a weak presentation..

Definitely agree, I mean, I like 50. It's just that he never had the right marketing formula, the beef s**tworked for his first two albums, but after "Curtis" he needed to go back to the drawing board. He needs to connect more with his fans than to attack other rappers. Maybe then it will cement his place.

Def i feel that way too about graduation. Alot of ppl copped it to spite 50. at the time those lps dropped i was workign at bad boy and alot of the worker there was basically cosigning that.

BISD is a banger....  it might not sell alot but everybody heard it or gonna listen to it eventually. BISD is the best SOLO ALBUM in a very long time. None of these other rappers can hold down an entire album with just on RAPPER Feature(EM) 90% of catz that comment aren't even hip hop fans like that. I learned a long time ago to listen to music for myself.  People have different tastes in music and therefore opinions shouldn't persuade your decision on listening to something.  Some people like Curtis better but I  think its his best work since Massacre.

I look at albums as a package of music and how it flows from top to bottom, level of production and how the artist weaves through it.  You can tell 50 put a lot of work into this abum.  I don't think every track is hot but the majority of the album is bangin.

Regardless of what the numbers is this is a good album but really ain't nobody selling albums like they use to anyways. We can go on and on about why 50 1st week sales didn't go well if the final numbers are predicted for the 1st week.

Yeah people have gotten tired of 50's beef antics to promote a new album. (including myself) I originally thought he was gone do around 100-150k or 150-200k but I ain't really surprised no way b/c 50 didn't have any type street promotion for this album and most of the promotion came from the internet.

I still believe BISD>>>>>BP 3 just my opinion.

Bottom line 50 just need to find a new way to promote is albums and quit with all these beefs but that can said for the whole rap industry though.

Gotta disagree with you on that one homie.  Kanye was spitting on College drop out and Late Registration.  All that techno s**tand wack lyrics on Graduation killed it for me.  On the other hand, Guns Go Off, Man Down, I get Money, I'll Still Kill, Curtis 187, The Mary J joint (4got the name.), Straight to the Bank, etc., were bangers to me.

Agreed. I mean everybody has a right to an opinion, but some people just love to hate for the love of hating. I mean a lot of stuff that 50 put is hit and miss so I don't expect a whole lot from him but from listening to this album you can tell he put effort into. I can't say the same for Jay-Z though.

Hell yeah!  If he saved those songs for the album it would have been seriously official.  However, those songs aren't radio friendly so they wouldn't have worked as a single like Baby By Me does.

Also, even though those songs aren't on this album they are still considered a part of his catalogue.  So throwing out record sales you can say he has two good albums this year.

Ya'll some confused ass n***a's I swear...lol.  I do think these numbers are reflective of cd sales overall, but I also feel like 50's antics and extra bs is definitely part of the problem too.  Also, as great a business man as he is, I question his choices for releases for these last 2 albums.  This "Baby by Me" joint is ok at best.  It has more of a summer feel and shoulda have dropped earlier.  With the last album, he dropped like 3 commercial/R&B type singles before finally hitting paydirt with "I get money" which is the kind of s**tthat appeals to his "core" audience.  50 started trying to pacify the mainstream audience instead of continuing to feed his core.  He left his lane and say what you want, that's something Jay and Kanye don't do.  And if they do it's because of creative risk, not cause they're trying to fit in.  And that's what's crazy is he actually has some heat on this album that his core audience would love, but that ain't who he want to impress out the gate.....it's Josh and Sarah out in the burbs.  But ya'll 50 dickriders got to ease up man.  50 himself always uses sales as a reference point to point out failures.  So now they can't be used to call his project a fail??? Yeah 50 did start that s**tearlier in the decade and started talking about sales but 50 need to quit with beefing with other n***as cuz in the end he comes out looking even worse. Did all that beefing with Ross early in the year ain't have no album to show for it until the end of the year. Basically I enjoy certain some of 50's joints he puts out and then the other half is not that great. Dude just needs to sit down and go back to basics with his music.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I don't think the issue with 50 being expressed here is the content of the album.  It's the fact that 50 himslef has ALWAYS used sales as a gauge of how good the artist is.  I'm with u...I just want a hot album.  But 50 set himself up for this "fail".  And I only use the word fail to represent him not reaching his own standards.  But if I been a 50 follower and i'm hearing him use sales as a way of gauging if a album is hot or not, then when I hear this about his sales, wouldn't the same apply?  Of course it shouldn't, but like I said, you can't be saying all that goofy s**twhen you hot just because and then expect not to hear it when the situation applies to you.  And really this goes more for the Stans in here defending him.  50 could probably care less cause he's more concerning with ending this contractual obligation to interscope and becoming a free agent

Record companies require artists to make at least 2 to 3 radio friendly records for the masses.  Baby By Me is something that Interscope required.  Record companies have a vested interest in the success of the music so naturally they want radio spins.  The suits don't care much about the creative aspect an artist wants to put into the album.  If 50 wants to make a harder darker album, Interscope says "ok, that's fine as long as you give us at least 2 radio singles including 1 feature"
