R&B singer Mary J. Blige gave back to her hometown of Yonkers, New York earlier this week, when she opened her new facility, the Mary J. Blige Center for Women.

Blige and Hip-Hop mogul Steve Stoute founded the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN) in 2008, as a way to encourage women by supporting educational programs, career development, self-esteem and personal growth.

Blige and Stoute are initially concentrating the foundation’s focus on Yonkers and the surrounding communities of West Chester, although plans are underway to service the entire country.

Blige announced the center’s opening during an emotionally charged press conference, that brought the R&B singer to tears.

“When I was 5-years-old there was a lot that happened to me that I carried all my life,” a tear eyed Blige said. “When I was growing up after that I saw so many women almost beaten to their death by men. I heard them screaming next door in my apartment building where I lived. I would walk outside and I would see them being slapped so hard, it looked like their head was gonna come off….and it wasn’t just in poverty that I seen this abuse, it was everywhere.”

In the United States, a woman is abused by her partner every 9 seconds, while four women actually killed by their partner every 24-hours.

Blige hopes the foundation, which is located in Southwest Yonkers, will provide a positive outlet for women in distress and encourage self development through a network of support and resources.

“It starts here. I can’t start in Africa because we need help here. Then I will stay in New York, maybe do something in Brooklyn, maybe Philly,” Blige continued. “But then we will start going to Canada, Paris. Women are suffering in Paris really bad. Women are suffering in Italy and Australia…Women are suffering all over the world. It would be so unfair to me have come from here and seen every thing that I seen in Yonkers to not open it here.”

________________________________________________________________-Do you remember Jay Z’s ex-lover Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson who shared a bachelor pad with Jigga until Beyonce put her foot down?

Well, the Chiefs suspended Johnson for using gay slurs on the social network site twitter.com. Why didn’t Johnson’s reps tell that lie that the twitter account wasn’t his like Neffe’s people did when she posted Kim Zolciak’s home number on her page?

I told y’all twitter was the devil.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has been officially suspended for comments he made on his twitter account. Johnson made two gay slurs that have resulted in his punishment. The two time Pro Bowler will not be able to return to the team until November 9. His agent, Peter Shaffer, said the total dollar amount lost by Johnson would be around $600,000, which includes a game check and other lost revenue. Shaffer said that he would appeal the suspension and has consulted with the Players Association.

“We will be filing an appeal on behalf of Larry tomorrow,” Schaffer told The Associated Press. “While we respect the Chiefs’ ability to try to discipline a player, we disagree and respectfully disagree that the punishment they propose is warranted by the facts or allowable by the collective bargaining agreement. Hopefully, we will be able to work out a mutual and positive resolution with the Chiefs short of a hearing. If we don’t, then this will go to an arbitrator.”

Didn't really stop by to comment on Mary but I will since the article is related to her. Let's just say I've been diggin Mary since "what's the 411".

Now on to the real reason I'm here, to gain attention and exposure. For about 13 years now hip hop has lacked substance and just real music. Why? I'll tell you why, because half of the rappers are afraid to just be themselves. Instead they let the invincible machine dictate the type of music they make. The other half, they're making the music they want to make but the problem with that is the music is trash. They keep making it because you, yes YOU whose reading this keeps accepting this garbage. The bar has been set so low it's like rappers are now competing to see who can set the bar the lowest. You know who I blame? New York, not the old New York, it's these new New York niggaz who I blame. The minute they started accepting garbage that us southerners were serving it's been downhill every since. Think about, and I don't give a damn if it sounds like I'm beating a dead horse. Some of you may have read similar posts I've made already. But think about it, when New York wasn't accepting the south, it kept us on our toes. Example when outkast got booed in NY and Dre got on the mic to accept the award damn near in tears, that particular moment created the Andre 3000 you hear today. That particular moment motivated Outkast to create the album Aquemeni. The bar was set high. Now fast forward. After Big and Pac thats when the expected quality of music went down. I compare it to a thermometer, it use be full but now we're at zero. The sad part is that it's only getting worse. The scary part is no one seems to even care. The south with a few exceptions, along with the help of New York has destroyed hip hop as I once knew it. Now everybody from the artists to the djs, to radio are being ran by the machine. Who or what is the machine? The machine not only dicatates what's hot but it's dictating if something is hot or not. The only thing that gets you around the machine is money. Talent wont' get u a deal but money will. Now how crazy is that? So you telling me if my music is not only good but it's better than 70% of rappers with deals, you telling me I can't get a deal. That's exactly what happened when I had a meeting with the head A&R at DTP(luda). Yeah we like your music but, nobody knows who you are, you have no following, you have no radio spins so see ya. With no money how in the hell can I provide those things.  If I could create a following and generate all the shyt they looking for then what the hell would I need to sign with them for. In other words the days of being signed based on a demo are no longer. I beg to differ. With the music I'm making I strongly feel it's only a matter of getting my music it the right person's hand. All that person has to do is give me an opportunity. I SWEAR TO GOD if I EVER get half of an opportunity I will single handedly bring hip hop back to where it needs to be. Don't believe me? Go listen for yourself, http://myspace.com/realsouthmusic Oh and by the way the songs I have up there now are about two years old. They are garbage compared to the new shyt I'm working on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For every fan there's a thousand MCs so you may ask what makes me so different? I'M NOT AFRAID TO BE JUST THAT, DIFFERENT.....Longevity is my aim. Not one hit but hit ALBUMS. Not music for the time but music that's timeless.

The US government says that 835,000 men (real figure is much higher because the feminist owned US govt lies) annually are assaulted by an intimate partner. What are YOU going to do to help your brothers Mizz Blige? Or are you also just one more man hating female celebrity. Yeah, yeah, we've heard it all before. What makes YOU so fricking special? Not a damn thing from where I'm sitting. You just like all the rest, baby doll! lol

I notice it IS mostly rich biyotches like this who support feminist causes.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss -- except that more of the aristocracy these days wear skirts or pants suits. Other than that it's still the same old game of the rich controlling the poor.

The revolution WON'T be televised because the mass media is the enemy too.

My advice to brothers everywhere is avoid women like the plague they truly are. You'll live longer and you'll be happier and healthier and you'll have better credit too. Get involved with a woman and you can kiss it all goodbye. You don't owe women nothing! So don't give them nothing!

Oh and btw Mary, own any diamonds? You might think about the number of men (mostly black men) who are killed in the mines in South Africa every year bringing up those worthless little rocks for your selfish greedy rich female hands. Oh that's right. You hate men so you don't care how many men die for you. The more the better. Right? ;-)
