Unfortunately this is gonna be MOS DEF's problem.  The article says the photographer was an OFFICIAL photographer for the event.  That means he was SUPPOSED to be taking pictures...a bit different from the normal Guerilla Paparazzi....

I've been a photographer for over 12 years, and I have never had an issue with Mos Def. I always ask him before taking a shot and I don't just snap away like some guys out there. I seen him flip on one dude because he asked him nicely not to take the picture and the guy kept shooting anyway. After that altercation, he stayed and took shots with the fans and for me and another dude from Japan the same night.

A little respect goes a long way and if you act professional, you will be treated professionally.

Pay that child support B!  Leave the paps alone.

I feel him that shit probably gets aggrivating as fuck.......

celebrities kill me. if pics are taken of them they complain, but i think if there was no one taking pics of them at all they would be more bothered. you wanted to be famous and known and have your pics everywhere but only when you feel like it? i don't think so. and if someone is taking pics of you when you don't want them to just walk away. no matter what most of y'all comments is sayin it is illegal to damage someone's property and any unwanted touching (that means if you even tap someone lightly with a finger and they don't want it) is considered assault (i know he has no assault charge). remember that next time you get heated, unwanted touching=felony assault.

This is ridiculous! Felonies for robbery and assault. What did he rob?   I mean , yeah maybe he should have had a cooler head but do we have to waste everyones time on this?  The guy wasnt paprazzi cuz he was an official photographer for the event. But enuffs enuff with these paparazzi camera people with no lies thinking we actaully care where and when celebrities buy groceries and do laundry. get a life!  

I studied publicity in college and the laws for taking photos needs to be restricted more. If a person is part of a public event or is a public figure, you can take pics but it shouldnt allow peopel to snap shots of a publuc figure anywhere. They still have a right to privacy. We can't have people running into the street holding up traffic to take pics of Michael jackson in his limo (yeah they did that).
