It's crazy that the truck been out since Friday. The west side is sworming with police. Not only that, it was parked on a block with houses. Why didn't anyone see it and call in. I'm a parent too and my first instinct would be to X that muthafutha out...and rightfully so.  Think about his though.....you avenge your childs death and get sent to prison for the rest of your life for it.  Your entire life is gone for that 1 minute of vengence and your child is STILL gone in the process.  Not only that, but the rest of your family has lost an additional person to a senseless cycle.  If you have other kids, those kids have lost their sibling and additionally...lost their parent FOR LIFE.  If you are married, your spouse has lost their child and you FOR LIFE.  Death is final and life behind bars is a certified death sentence.  Then, to top it off......when its all said and done, the only people who are going to remember that shit are the people involved cause the media and the rest of the world will forget about that shit next week.  Come next Monday you are nothing more than a statistic.  Its really fucked up when you think about it.

If people can file reports on an adult situation that was none of their business, surely we could do more to protect our children.

It would be two fold.  If I have MORE kids, then I would have to find a way to be strong for them, and going to jail wouldn't be an option.  BUT, if I only had ONE child (as I do now), and this happened to me, I'm with Sexy1.  I'm going to be looking for whoever did this, and then I'm going to take him/her out...PERIOD.  It's easy to say what we would or wouldn't do put in this position...

But I think any parent knows exactly what would happened if it were them, because at that point thinking LOGICALLY doesn't come into play...

The snitching was mentioned by sum one that posted a comment on here and thats how the convo of snitching came about...u are right, snitching has nothing to do with this but sum folks think that if sum one would have said sumthing about that truck being seen on the streets, that would have been considered snitching, i and others addressed that comment that was posted and thats where the snitching issue came from. The truck was NOT found 5 miles away it was found on a totally different side of Chicago (The west side and they lived in Englewood which is on the South Side). The truck was NOT there the entire time so the people in Chicago (myself included) are not stupid, inconsiderate or blind. If lil buddy was arrested about 5 blocks away from where this truck was found, it would be easy to say what they should have done after the fact. People actually spotted this clown later on in the day before the news broke that the mother and brother were found dead but who would know to call the police on him beforehand? They knew the truck and Julian was probably in the same spot only after dude was arrested. This mess happens everyday everywhere but i dont care who it is or how famous a person is, an innocent child should never be killed and left in the back of a truck this way. Either way this is some sick ish and if that nappy headed clown did this then i hope he gets sprayed with acid daily.

I love my city but this is just ridiculous!

All i can do is pray,
pray that god gives his mother and the rest of their family the strength to get through this,
pray that who ever did this to a 7 year old boy who had no reason to die so young gets what they deserve,
and pray that his doesn't happen to anyone else.

Exactly.  At lunch I called my boy in the Chi.  Like I said earlier, I heard about it from him before I even saw it on here because they found the truck around the corner from his crib.  When I called him, I was actually telling him about the discussion that's been going on this morning.  He said that they tried to get an interview w/ him since he lives in the neighborhood, but he str8 up declined.  The reason????  People are afraid to even comment, even if they know nothing about it because just commenting, in that neighborhood, could get you murked.  That was the reason I posted the last question.  Personally, I think people would come forward with information if they weren't scared for their lives.  Now, you call that protecting the hood?  gtfoh w/ that loyalty shit.....catz are scared to speak.  So much for taking care of our own.

Seriously this situation is one of the worst you can imagine. This girls family has just basically been wiped out. Her immediate family at least. Her dad already died a few years ago and it was only 3 of them and her sister only had 1 child. How do you go from having 4 other siblings to just a sister in the matter of 4 days? INSANE! While i didn't know Jennifer personally i did know one of her Uncles and i remember when she was on American Idol and how he was soooooo proud of her and telling everybody that listened to vote for her because she was his niece and just always talked about her. As I read this message board I see comments about what they would do.  I believe that you never know what you would do until you have to step into those shoes.  I would like to share my experience with the AHH community but it would be LOOOONNG so ima spare you the entire story.  Im just going to give you one of my conclusions. I had a  friend that was a victim of domestic violence and when she decided to leave his ass he kidnapped their kids and instead of her fam supporting her they blamed her for being with him so long...anyways a couple of days later they found the kids but she killed herself. I just hope her family is being supportive and letting her know none of this was her fault. I couldn't imagine how she feels right now but I know I would be suicidal if I lost my mama, my bro and my baby so I pray God gives her the strength and courage to make it through this.........
