You're right, he's a good businessman. The Vitamin Water deal wasn't really his doing though. I still respect his grind because a lot of rappers just sit on the money they make from rapping. They gave him 10% of the company in stock options as partial compensation for the endorsement he was doing for the Formula 50 grape joint. I mean imagine if Steve Jobs would have took that 15% Bill Gates offered him in Microsoft back in the late 80s. The owners of Vitamin Water sold the business to Coca-Cola and made a grip. Common sense would have told folk that this was a shaky report.In a time when even the top Hip Hop artists are losing sells no one is going to gamble that kind of money on a non touring based agreement. Outside of an Alicia Keys level artist(who's fans consistently give financial support) MC's/Rappers are too big a risk.
