This lineup is crazy. A lot of their albums I had in heavy rotation. The first Naughty album with "My Kitty Cat", All De La's joints but specifically "Stakes Is High" & "Buhloone Mindstate", Cypress Hill's "Black Sunday" album was a monster, Slick Rick "The Adventures Of Slick Rick" and the one he made from jail "Behind Bars" and Too Short's "Life Is", "Cocktails", and mutha fuckin' "Get In Where You Fit In"

Shit I just blacked out and had a flashback. I bout to pull some tapes out tonight. Yes I do still have a tape deck for through back moments like this.

The crazy thing is that Busta Rhymes should have been given his Hip Hop Honors award.  He's been a force in hip hop over the last 3 DECADES!  He came out in the 80's...don't forget that.  LEADERS OF THE NEW SCHOOL!

This lineup is good but they are skipping over a lot of people ever year that they do this show.

Slick Rick is the ruler hands down!  He definitely deserves that honor.

De La Soul is a good look, cause they're exactly the opposite of what people normally associate with Hip Hop.  Common definitely deserves the honor too...I'm glad KRS-One pointed that out.  I think they need to give him that honor next year for the sake of Hip Hop as a culture.  Common gets slept on a lot because he ain't compromised his style and subject matter.  But truth is, Common would shit on at least 90% of the rap game.
