I was trying to think of a theme for this week, but instead I found a variety of hot
stuff…a little for work, a little for play and a little something extra.
This weekend (June 20-22) NAMM is holding their summer show in Nashville, TN. NAMM is an international association made up of retailers and manufacturers of musical instruments,
gadgets and toys from 85 countries.

All
you music industry cats will be happy to know Numark is announcing a few new DJ toys; a new line of mixers and the
DDS80, their “future proof” cd player.
The mixers come in
three flavors, the C-series of rack-mount club mixers, the M-series of tabletop
DJ mixers, and the X-series which are 100% digital tabletop DJ mixers.
The
DDS80 has inputs and supports nearly all existing media. It’s guaranteed to
have the party rockin’ for years to come

There’s
no pricing available yet for the mixers or CD player, but both will be at
retailers in the third quarter of ’08. Here's a demo on the DDS80:
