She named no dallas artist as her favorite so she must not be a fan of the d town boogie movement. lol. I think she got something good going and I'm prepared to see her at the top. Dallas rap is what it is. Its starting to sound like the rap in shreveport or baton rogue, louisiana. Not thats bad but recycled and dallas need its own identity. The dtown boogie has been done by atlanta so whats new. The radio dj's are based off payola. How do i no. Dallas is a big market, local rappers are getting air play but are not selling records when they release. Thats what happens when the consumer is force fed music that they only like because is played a over and over.

I have to agree with Spike on this one. While one side of me wants to be happy for Tyler Perry's success, I must be honest and say that I had the same exact thoughts when I was watching the playoffs and every five seconds Brown came dancing on the screen. This is definitely minstrelsy. Furthermore, it bothers me that Hollywood still has this fascination with emasculating Black Men. It is as if they will not rest until they see you in a dress.
