I couldn't wait until the album dropped. I could've purchased on the Hustle Hard site but I wanted to make a "double statement". I made up my mind to 'buy black'. I'm from Brooklyn so I had a hard time finding it in Philly. All of the so called Black owned record shops tried to play us, Maino.

I'm all about the movement so when I went into each store and asked about the price. Both of the stores said $15. This first store (Phenomenal Music, 15th & Columbia) wanted to see my ID if wanted to use my credit card. Cool. Not that it was a problem, but I decided to use cash. I gave the clerk a fresh $20 bill and he promptly returned $5 as change. When I asked, he didn't want to give me a receipt. I asked him why and he just said "We don't give out receipts". I kindly asked for my $20 and had his lil $5 waiting as soon as he lifted his head. After some more driving, I found another store (Continuous Motion, Germantown and Somerset). The clerk was nice and I got the same price quote for the album. After he got the album for me I asked if he had a problem giving me a receipt. He said no and went on and on about how he had to write one up for me. I told him it was cool. But when I asked if my purchase was going to register Maino's album on soundscan he assured me. Long and short of it, I gave him my $20 and he gave me a receipt with Maino's name and change of $6.05. It turned out that the album was $13.95 and that nigga was trying to sell it HOTTTTT. Now that is true nigga shit. I fixed his azz.

YES!! I sure did buy Maino's album and so glad I did. I love it. It is inspiring and encouraging. I was hoping that Hi Haterz remix would have been on there but the original STILL sound just as good blasting loud from the crib especially if you got dumbass Bitch haterzzzzzzzzz!! Good Looking Maino. Because of you I don't have to say a word; just turn the music UP.

His style is too basic for my liking. He just doesn't keep my attention at all. He's okay but nothing great. There are many rappers that haven't dropped albums yet that are better than he. And you're right NY artists do run to the South for features, When they should be trying to help NY artists out but if we did that then you'd say "NY is bias of the south" or "This is another OLD NY sounding album". It's a good look for a NY artist and I'm glad that he's proving that NY is still hungry but he should work with some other underground NY artist too maybe his rhyme skill will improve cuz he's not lyrical. But it's tough to be lyrical in a generation of ppl who don't like to think too much. But i will support cuz i do buy albums and i wanna hear first hand what he can do.

heard the album on sirius listening party. It's cool, but i'm going to get it b/c i liked the interview he did with the sirius girl. He has a similar point of view of a lot of others but something makes him different. Can't put a finger on it.
