Oppressed? Has this fool not been making money for years? The President is Black. We all need to get over this negative oppressed talk and get on with our lifes. I dont want my 3 year old child being called a N**Ga because some kids dad in his Nursery listens to Rap music. Like someone else has said, this word is not used in Africa or the UK/Europe so why do some people still try to justify its use?

KRS-One should know better! He needs to move on.

If thats the case once you become a successful rapper and getting rich in this music game, your financial pain and strain is in the past. I heard some rappers say they  are recession free. So why do they still promote the word. My life is constant struggle but I refuse to use the word, out of respect for my people, and I'm trying to set the example for my children.
I'm not knocking anybody who uses the N word, we are all desensitized to the word and it does not phase us. The decision to refrain from  or use the word is the individual choice.
I think it would be nice if we can phase the word out of the ghetto lexicon such as old school terms like jive, gimme five , and other out of date terms.
The problem with the N word it never goes out of style. Trying to wean black people off that word is like trying to wean a pack a day smoker off cigarettes, it's hard or damn near impossible.
