I feel where you're coming from which is exactly my point.Without the inspiration from the dudes who paved the way you would have no so & so so fourth & so on.I as an artist myself agree but at the same time if you're on the forefront of the genre today(which Kanye is)you lead by example in your works.Don't you agree?If so then you would agree that dude used the same trend that plenty are guilty of using & so just as he was no different & followed the trend so did those that expect him to lead in which he did by the example of his last album.Kanye new that it would be"hypocritical"to a certain degree & that's why he knew that he couldn't use that song,hook,or concept for himself without a sense of"take a look in the mirror"so he tossed the concept to Jay.Don't get me wrong,I'm not an autotune fanatic & to an extent he has a right to feel that way but he couldn't garner as much respect as Jay would if he were to speak on it being that Jay hasn't used autotune.Bottomline though,it's a strategic win win cuz Jay was in better position to speak how he felt on certain areas of the song.

perhaps. but then again, a lot of djs and producers are loath to give up info like that, so maybe that was why it wasn't addressed. it's still not going to stop a person from finding out about the sample, but for many loop diggers, they aren't going to volunteer that info either.

At the end of the day, Jay is really just throwing his wait around like a bully. What about the things that does that people don't agree with? To me it had no effect because I don't like Jay-Z or autotune, so to me it was pointless because no one stepped up for Nas when he said hip hop was dead, so it's really a following game.
