Make a demo or a recording of your best freestyle or songs. If you're a girl; 11 or something like that, and you don't have the equipment, let your friends and family know that this is what you want to do or pursue as a career.
Practice all the time or as often as you can. Keep a composition notebook handy or where you can find it. This will be your "Book Of Rhymes" or so.
For females a little older, try to find places where you can record your music. Go to different websites or different people who can help you with your dream.
Try not to have a lot of curses or sexual content in your lyrics. Especially if your 18 and below. You can rap about boys but not about their dicks and things like that. If you want a label to hear your music, keep it clean as possible. Maybe 3 to 5 curses but that's it. Remember if you do get signed, your reppin' their label so what you do or rap about, it questions the label's authority.
Think of a decent name. A name that would represent you. Don't name yourself "Gangsta Bitch" if your from Baldwin Hills. Keep it real.
