Line A all day......

i was da 4th person in line at my designated site, it was me and 3 people of African decent, who happened to be first time voters there. The doors opened about 15-20 minutes late, nothin major for me being that i was 4th in line and it took about 1 minute to complete the actual voting process......

i was glad to see the diversity in ages and ethnicities all excited and patiently waiting to vote.

This is a very monumental day, i went to a predominantly black Moorish-based charter school as a kid (grades 2-3), where we were encouraged that a day of a Black President was possible, Jesse Jackson was our first real manifestation of that, but it wasnt the right climate for it..... I'm proud to see this day that once a vision becomming a few hours away from reality!

So i went out and did it for all those who fought and died for us to vote, all my peeps who one day dreamed of a black president or "painting the white house , black" as one of my murdered peeps passionately wanted to see, for all my peeps behind the cage who arent able to vote, and more importantly the future/babies who arent able to vote right now, but will benefit and one day have their own aspirations of a better tomorrow!

It's not even a black vs. white issue my good cyber-peers. Please, if u gotta wait a few hours, just wait it out, a few hours is nothin in comparison to the prior 8yrs of a country on the decline, and the prevention of another 4 falling into the same rank.......

first of all Obama is gonna need more than just black voters to win this election...I guarantee you that. Blacks only account for 12% of the U.S population, and even if EVERY black person votes for him, which i doubt, imagine all the other races he has to rely on...Obama didn't make it this far by relying solely on the black vote. That would just be ignorant now wouldn't it?

Tunkhannock poll worker dismissed after allegations of impropriety - POCONOS, PA

A Tunkhannock machine operator was dismissed after a voter complained the operator tried to manipulate her vote.

The voter, who was not identified, said Sean Stevens reached over her voting booth and tried to switch her vote to Barack Obama.

“I could not believe what was going on there! Behind the voting booths is like a bench or something and there was a guy on there, an Obama supporter which I know because when I was waiting outside, he pulled up in a blue can with Obama banner on the top. He was looking over the top of the booths as you voted. I selected Republican which chooses all Republicans, and before I got a chance to hit the vote button, he reached in and changed the vote to Obama, and said look ‘you can change your vote one thousand times if you wanted,’ then went on to the next booth. I had to figure out how to change it back, but that has to be illegal,” the voter wrote.

Stevens said, in an interview with the Pocono Record, that the voter had asked for his help. He admitted he had set up a platform behind the bvoting booths to help voters who needed instructions on the use of the electronic voting machines. Sevens said he reached over and activated the Democratic buttons only as a demonstration as how to use the machine. He also said he cleared the votes he activated during his demonstration.

County Office of Elections/Voter Registration chief Sara May-Silfee said Stevens was not supposed to be reaching or looking over the polling booth while people voted. “I never authorized that. No, it’s unacceptable.

Silfeee said she also had complaints from poll workers that Stevens had been electioneering, which is forbiden within a polling site. “He’s telling people to vote for Obama at the machines,” she said.
